This attack is confusing me. It only mentions Deoxys, and doesn't specify the Defending Pokemon, which implies that the effect is on Deoxys, yet it is applied (before applying Weakness and Resistance) which implies that the effect is on the Defending Pokemon. Which one is it? Also, why is the text quite different from Meganium's Delta Reduction?

Usually, attacks like this would have the same text. Why does this one specify the Defending Pokemon unlike the other one?

    From the Compendium:
    * The correct wording for the "Delta Reduction" attack should be, "During your opponent's next turn, any damage done by attacks from the Defending Pokémon is reduced by 30 (before applying Weakness and Resistance)." This means that the effect of Delta Reduction resides on the Defending Pokémon, not on the one performing the attack. (Jan 18, 2007 PUI Rules Team)
