Older formats have gotten quite popular and to the point where large online tournaments are being held. Trying to keep with the true spirit of Pokemon and the game we want to make sure cards are played as intended.
With Desert Shaman the ordering and drawing amount matter considerably when taking Shiftry from HL into account and it's need to match hand sizes.
1.) Desert Shaman says draw up to 4 cards. Is 0 a legal number of cards to draw or does it have to be 1-4 cards?
2.) Desert Shaman reads "Shuffle your hand into your deck and draw up to 4 cards. Your opponent does the same." The period makes me think the owner has to draw their cards first followed by the opponent?
I've checked the Compendium without any luck and have tried to reach out to some judge who were judged at this time without a clear answer. I know the gym has staff that has judged as long as I have played and am really hoping you can help me out with this.
