to each his own.

Im in the closet and never coming out! :)

The only people that know are my parents, siblings (because I live with them) and my poke-playing-friends.

and btw before anybody says Im a geek with no confidence, im conceited (im nice to look at), popular, friends, girls, everything you dont expect from a pokemanz player. and Im not very dedicated to the game anyway so who cares, haha.

my friends know, a lot of them play, most of them play really well (not including u Bashi, your bro beat you, that's just sad). but if any of the other kids in school knew, well a lot of kids don't like me, so they will use it against me. a lot of kids my age try to grow up to fast. one of my best friends quit because he doesn't think it's cool anymore. but i think it is not childish, it is a way i make friends, meet new people, play people that can actually beat me (i go beast on my bro, bashi, and his bro, the only people that play in my area). so it's just great. it will be hard to hide when i get a GF that doesn't play.....

I suppose a serious reply from me is in order.

Well, I met literally all of my friends from playing Pokemon. I'm the only one of us who still plays, but they're pretty cool about it overall. I also met my girlfriend in January of last year through a Pokemon forum I used to Admin with one of those friends (because I'm wierd),

So, yeah, pretty much everyone in my life knows that I play Pokemon.

My friends play with me! My girlfriend doesn't but she encourages me all the time that it is dumb that people could ridicule me. I mean we all have hobbies, and it's almost as if people think watching football and screaming is wayyy better than playing a quiet card game.

I'm not a sterotypical nerdish person, I'm actually the total opposite of what a non-player would expect, but I just play, and I mean that's alright. Generalizations don't have to be based on what a person looks like.

I'm the last Pokemon player In my school, so I have no practice with anybody. Everybody keeps telling on me to quit, I sold my cards and everything but still, I have my 2 decks with me still.

eh, I dunno,

when my friends ask something like, "Wana hang out this weekend?" I say "Nah, I got pokemon tourny" and they're usialy like, "uhhhh, ok then....".

heh, yeah. When anyone I dont know confronts me, I say its like Sudoku or Crossword puzzles, brain food :O

All my family no that i play and my mom thinks its a misunderstood hobby and at school i told everybody that i play pokemon and they thought it was a joke. So I left it as that.

Well......At First, NO! But they Started to Notice me gone on Weekends more, and carrying a Green Tub of Something, SO one day, I just told them! But I dont tell the ladys I see, they would think I am a Nerd, I guess! But, I might Get around to it, if I get into a Great Relationship, of course!

Yes, and they think it is great that I can play a game with my kids and folks of all ages. Running events is also very cool bc you get to allow many others in your area to play.

Well, my friends know, however they are bugged by it because they are gone most weekends. I think my Girlfriend is the only person who i talk too alot who doesn't know i play

Basically all of my friends know I play and am really good at it. Once my friend was showing this girl my Nationals 07-08 badge ans she was like "Awesome!!". Then my friend told here that I was 3rd in the country and she's like "whoa that's crazy!!".

So yeah, people underestimate the skill required to fully play pokemon. If in doubt to tell anyone, mention the prizes at Nats or Worlds; that'll shut them up lol! :D

Haha, if anything, I brag about playing Pokemon. I talk about my wins (and not so much my losses). I was actually at a training class where we had to introduce ourselves and give an "interesting fact" about ourselves, and I said I played Pokemon. When people laughed, I lied and said that I'd made $200 at the last tournament, and then they were impressed / stopped laughing / didn't ever make any jokes about it. I'm so not above lying to make people stop taunting me. xD

I can't hide it from my friends and family. All my friends play too, my wife and kids do as well. Holidays with presents - family gets me Pokemon stuff. Really cool.

One day I should grow up, but I have way too much fun with this lifestyle.

my girlfriend comes to events with me and my BFF'z jorge, bianchi, ryan, alex, boltzo and i guess omar all play too so ya.
