Well, this doesn't yet exist on the Gym, so it's probably about time it DOES.

Sony and Microsoft had their press conferences yesterday. Frankly, Sony absolutely whipped Microsoft. And, really, it's for 3 reasons...

    1) No creepy spying potential.
    2) USED GAMEZ!!!!
    3) $400 vs. $500

The system specs are roughly comparable, but Sony earned a LOT of brownie points with the fans for simply following Google's motto: "Don't Be Evil".

Today, we've got a slew of Nintendo notes, including some Nintendo Direct, some XY Roundtable, some Live Tweeting, and hopefully some Reggie being awesome.

So, fanboys! Get your geek on! It's the most wonderful time of the Gamer Year: it's E3 Week!!!

    New Zelda 3DS game-
    Yoshi's New Island-
    SSBB for 3DS-

Seems to me that the 3DS (Nintendo hand held system line in general) is STILL the best gaming system around-

Don't worry, that feature will be removed in a future update, just like PS2 game playback, Linux installing, etc.

Sony beat MS to a pulp, then Nintendo quietly pushed aside the trampled remains.

PS4 and WiiU are the systems to get for this generation. Xflop one is a disaster before it's even launched....

To put it in perspective of just HOW bad it's been for MS. My facebook feed of people who I didn't even really know as being gamers have been making fun of the xbox all day. When the casuals think it's bad, then it's really bad.

M$ did have the one OMG moment with the Halo trailer. But they followed it up with so many WTH moments that it was virtually impossible for them to win this year.

Sony won this year by simply not being evil.

The Jury is out on Nintendo. To me, their day will be made on the XY roundtable. They announced some decent but not unexpected things during the ND this morning. If they do something truly amazing on the roundtable, then Nintendo will be the co-winner. They can't really hope to top what Sony did to M$.

I thought it was pretty enjoyable. I'm very happy for the Halo reveal. The new MGS game also looks really good.
The new Rayman Legends trailer they revealed was just so amazing looking. I wish they'd bring Rayman back into 3D. Speaking of Rayman I'm glad he also made it to Smash Bros...oh wait he didn't. He never will. :frown:

I personally think we had one of the best E3s in a decade this year. With a heated battle between Sony and Microsoft, Nintendo staying quiet, but still admitting a new game that will grab headlines, amazing. As far as the duke between Sony and Microsoft, I think Sony kicked butt. I agree to GI's ratings to both performances, A for Sony and C for Microsoft. Although Microsoft wasn't as user friendly as they had hoped, they still put on a good show with all of the awesome Top 10 exclusives. Sony put up a perfect show all for one minor detail, PS+ is 50$ a year, which was often a key argument in the PS3 vs 360 debate (Sony being free Microsoft being 50$ annually). Over all I think this was a really great and important E3 for all of the next-gen consoles, more so than any other E3, in my opinion. If you disagree with my statement please feel free to debate it. And yes, chompy, finally! MEGA MAN FOR SSB!!!
