Energy and Special Energy Classification and Darkrai EX's Poke Power?

Hello,

My apologies in advance if this is trivial, but I am wondering how special energies, specifically, blend energies are classified in gameplay. If attached to a Pokemon, the description says that it provides a colorless energy; however, if Darkrai EX's poke-power is applied, can the Blend Energy be considered a "Darkness energy," or does the power is only for an actual darkness energy?

blend GRPD will trigger darkrai ex's dark cloak ability cause it is triggered by a dark energy being on a pokemon, if it had said basic dark blend wouldn't work but it just says dark.
