EV Berries?!?!

Well, I took my 31/31/31/31/0/31 Fletchling and EV trained it. Unfortunately I had never done super training so I accidentally got +4 Defense.

Is it true that if I give her a Qualot berry it will REDUCE the Defense stat?!

Also, is there a way to see the actual numeric results of your training? For example, I EV trained ATK until it would hold no more and then split up the rest between HP and SPD. But now if I can get back the +4 from Defense (and any others) I'd like to know where I should put them so that HP and SPD can be close to equal.

Is this where I would use an EV calculator?

Yes Qualot berry will reduce Def EVs by 10 (so it'll wipe away the 4 it has). Just make sure you've planted and grown some more and that you aren't using your only one or something.

The game will not show any numerical value, the closest you can get is the semi-useful graph on the Super Training page. That's why when you're EV training it's a good idea to write or mark what EVs a Pokemon is getting so you don't go over/under the amount you want.
 
Forgot to mention that I have 80 of those berries! I had no idea what their use was! So helpful!
