EVs in Join Avenue?

I've noticed that some of the things that you can do in Join Avenue up stats or down them. I am curious whether or not these reduce or add EVs, and, if they do, how much they add/reduce by.

I know that the Dojo increases by whatever the number listed is.
If it says Level 64 sp.def - it will get 64 sp.def EV's.
