Meganium d+Feraligatr d pwnz the crap out of Gatr. I played MegGatr today and wipped out several Gatrs. They are weak to my Gatr and my Meg is resistant. And with Meganium's delta reduction you reduce 60 damage from Gatr's attacks. I also play Cess Crystal..Dun dun dun.

ur gonna play cess in a deck that relies on meg d POWER to setup and gatrs BODY for dmg output? that doesnt sound like a good choice

It's not that great of a deck, it's easy to metagame, even easier to play a deck that has a half decent matchup against it. Anything aggressive beats it =\

Anything that runs multiple scrambles and can win the prize trade off beats it too (vire, I'm lookin at you). And the biggest card you have to get rid of to beat the deck is magneton. Good players always keep at least one energy in thier discard to mag back and then energy draw if they get wagered. Kill the ton, kill the gatr.

This is exactly what I have bin saying, TGW does almost NOTHING against Hurricane. I can very easily get my hand back, and if you loose I can Breaking Tail, and cut you down to a 2 card hand. Now just try to come back from that!

I wager you down to 3, attach cessasion, KO your gatr and smile.

^ That's only if you win, and you also are asuming that you draw a CC. Now if you lose, you KO my Gatr, I pull out a fresh one, use Breaking tail, cut you down to 1/2 cards and smile.

Oh FYI, I did win games like that. It's almost imposible to come back from a 1/2 card hand, with me discarding one every turn. LOL, I win.

acually, you attach the cessation before TGW, assuming you have the bigger hand assumes you got the cessation.

darth pika, theres your first mistake

the second is that win or lose the TGW, you still gotta top deck that windstorm, if not, all you got is a draw card, maybe not that. that's your second mistake.

the third mistake is assuming cessation is the only problem. if i go for cess. TGW, why not BF TGW? okay so it don't stop mag, but you don't have that much energy in the discard right? it's in your deck after you just caned one of my poke. that's the third mistake

the forth is simple, playing gatr with catty and magneton, there is a much simpler way to play it that is also alot more friendly to the cess. TGW routine. trust me there. i won't enliten cause your deck iz da biz shnizz, but i will hope i find time to make the gatr deck my way, and cane with it.

^ Let me guess, you use Arodactyal. And you seem to be forgetting that I have 2 attacks, that's your first mistake. And secondly I can just keep some nrg in the discard to get with ton, if I think that my opponent is going to play a nasty trick like that on me. That is a deadly mistake to make v/s Gatr.

fifth mistake, expecting the trick. the combo works cause it should be a complete suprise, unless you play every turn expecting it, the experienced player can make you trip and fall with it.

sixth mistake, areodactl. why? and...no, that wasn't it, but your not worried, cause huricane iz da big biz worldz zweepa, 2,000,000+ damage every turnz like, you know owz it iz.

Right now I'm ranked 1 MD masters. If it hadn't bin for me getting a bad matchup and bad luck in t4 match, I would probably higher.

And I'm almost finnished my deck article. I'll post it with in the week.

you could beat him 100 times in a row and he would still come up with excuses. Gatr isnt that great, it is a nice card but it has some speed issues *darthpika quotes me by saying his is super fast*. A lot of lighting pokemon such as electrivire and ray ex d can really hurt you *darthpika quotes me by saying how his list can easily beat electrivire* and finally disruption is to big right now CC, Warp Point, BF, and TGW can all put a cripple to your plans *darthpika quotes me here by saying he always has windstorm ready*. If you are going to play a britney spears deck like infernape of course you are garanteed a lost to hurricane.

Don't get big-headed. I'm ranked 4th in North America in Masters right now, but that says next to nothing about me as a player. Only one weekend has gone by so far, and a lot of tournaments haven't been uploaded yet.

As for getting a bad matchup: the way you win tournaments is by not getting bad matchups; by engineering your deck to beat everything else that could be thrown at you that day. That's what dozens of other BR winners did to win last weekend. If you play Feraligatr at a BR where there are a handful of Blissey decks, you're probably going to get that matchup somewhere along the line, and it can cost you a Victory Medal.
