Fixing Broken Figures

I talked my friend into getting a pack of TFG and when he opened it up the Pokemon inside was broken off the stand and the part that holds it to the base is broken...
How can I fix this?
 
I just glued my charizard back onto it's base.
I suggest one of the "goopy" glues, to make sure you get good contact between the two pieces.
 
Avoid use of plastic cement, it'll risk permanently damaging the figure at the join. Only use a glue that doesn't solidify the bond by melting the edges together.
