Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

For Those Who Know About the Zekrom/Reshiram/Pikachu errors

does anyone have a full art genie that DOES NOT match all of the above? as you ALL seem to have this error print? as such that's probably just the way it is meant to be?

unless someone has two different to compare?

I think that for the B&W set (I haven't seen this yet for the B&W Emerging Powers set) the different 'prints' for the Zekrom/Reshiram/Pikachu/all reverse holo's (but it shows best for the trainers) are due to the difference in the foil used in different printing processes (smooth foil vs. more bubbly foil). I have noticed the same for older reverse holo's of eg. Aquapolis and Expedition.

If you read the original thread, the cards from BW were confirmed to be an error. The same type of thing is going on with the EP set, but it hasn't been confimed yet. It is however logical to come to the same conclusion in the absence of confirmation.

There are 4 types of Reshirams. Not sure on Zekrom. No star Reshiram is going to be the card I would look out for in pricing, but who knows. Cards are so overprinted these days that there are a MASSIVE amount of every type...especially gray versus black Zekrom.

Ok so did Nintendo confirm the error? Or where was this confirmed? Because everything I have heard is just rumors and theories from collectors. And what is this "no star Reshiram" stuff? I have seen 3 different Zekroms (Black, dark gray, and light gray) and 2 different Reshirams (Lighter, and darker). Also I'm wondering if there is a difference in reverse holos for the EP set? Anyone know?

I finally got the second one today

I purchased a 3 pack blister (Pansage) (with sample pack)
Code cards in the packs

From Walmart - gave the sand one

The other one was
a 1 pack blister
from meijer - gave webbing

The FA Reshiram that came in the same packs as the black FA Zekrom had little to no foil on the rarity star on the bottom right of the card. And because of that you couldn't see the star at all on some of them.

Thanks! I guess I have two of these! I never noticed that before

Well I finally got both versions of FA Tornadus and Thundurus yesterday. From what I've seen they seem to be like the FA Reshiram and Zekrom were. As in one version comes from the pre-release packs or booster boxes while the other comes from blister packs or packs that include a promo and a few packs (like the recently released Super Snivy Box or the Zoroark Illusions Collection).

Skitty I got both from blister packs?

Webbing was from 1 pack blister
Sand was from 3 pack +promo Pansage blister

Well that just through out my theory. So I guess there's no sure-fire way to tell which one you're going to get. That's going to be annoying for collectors.

I don't think "error" is the correct term. It's possible they printed B&W at the same time as EP and simply ended up changing the material to make production less expensive. Chances are the different versions were printed on purpose.

I seem to recall PokePop saying on another thread that he was told by the powers that be that the Gray Zekrom was an "error."
