As many people are saying GrumpigStall autoloss vs all the decks in the format, i challenge you.

I'll be on Apprentice next week, Tuesday and Wednesday.
My MSN address is [email protected]. We can use PM.

We can find an hour good for both us.
I want to to a 2/3 match vs:

    Chuck's Tree
MSN (which was played the first time in EUROPE in NOVEMBER, a month before Kettler plays it)
    Dragonite Ex
    Flygon d ex
    Banette Ex

    I think that's all.

Feel free to ask what you want.

DX-PK (the only format in which the deck could exist).

andceo: who is saying grumpigstall has lots of auto-losses?

No matter how dead the Parrot, some will insist that it is just pining for the Fjords.

NO he isn't. Their level is screaming without proofing, Andceo is going to proof something.
I will not take the challenge because I know how difficult Grumpigstall is to beat.

Go for it Andceo, let them bite some dust.

    My brother is fool..

    Blaziken, you can.

Madhatter: Piggy can excist only if the old fossil rule is on..

Chromecatz: he was only saying that because ryan said that Europe doesn't help the metagame. We had MSN some months before you, and I saw Lia using a deck similar to R-Gon with really good teches for the current metagame. We simpy don't post our decks

If he'll lose, he will be the worst pokegym member ever:lol:

Eh, I either work too hard these days, or do so little I don't even care (hopefully the former :D), but rather than play, I'll just give you a blunt opinion on all those matchups (repost your list in this topic so I can edit this later):

VS Metanite: easy win. gyms and the clock are way too much.
VS Absol: painful loss. They have so many outs to counter the bounce strategy.
VS Destiny: mixed opinion, here. Destiny was constantly revised, so the matchup goes anywhere from unfavorable to favorable.
VS Shiftry: tough to say. I'd say I'd favor Shiftry simply because you're so hard-pressed to score that one KO you need before time runs out (not to mention you have to setup a dugtrio to make sure you don't get hurt on the bench).
VS MMS: I've played this match before randomly, and the only thing that wins it for you is cursed stone lock. That deck was always very low on counter stadiums. However, Meg's reduction and the umbreon are annoying (not as annoying as steelix, though).
VS Metalix: haha I don't know what kind of point you're making with the comment! Anyways, Steelix eats your face. If the metalix plays latilock, then it eats your face even more.
Dragonite ex: dunno why you mentioned it 'cause it was _never_ popular, but a fast Draggy will certainly tear that thing apart. Keep in mind it has to get out _fast_, or else I see you having a shot).
    Raieggs: easy win.
Rgon: interesting really can go either way at times. An exceptionally well-played rgon could be the favorite.

Oh yeah, and psyshock flips can be killer. Don't be afraid to tilt any of those matchup predictions by about 5% in pig's favor.

Pig IMO was just a faster, more brittle version of Politoed. It had its good matchups, had its not-so good ones. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't stellar, either.
  15. I doubt you guys had Metalix before us. Just because we didn't PLAY it before before you did, doesn't mean we didn't come up with the idea before you guys did. I could be wrong, ask Scizor/Articjedi when they come up with it.

Btw if this is DX-DP you should be going by the rules in DP where if a fossil gets KOd they take a prize right? Yeah, so I don't think you're going to win many of your games. ;x Hadn't DP not come out when you played it? Just play it by the set before.

Cyrus/Patriarck = i can't see any reduction coming from Meganium Delta since the 30 damage reduciton is applied to the defending pokemon.
You hit a fossil (and you have 30 damage reduction on the fossil) the fossil die (or survive if it's mysterious) or does 10 damage (if it's claw).
You take 40 from grumpig and a cursed stone (together with metagrosses).
do it again (50+50+claw) and you have a very dead meganium....

    Steelix does nothing without Latilock.
It just sits there trying to flip head (due to confusion) to kill a fossil, waiting for sudowodoo / latias to come and kill it and his 3 metal energies...
Latias star and latilock are the only answer MSN had to grumpigstall.

Shiftry is HARD pressed to do something BEFORE dugtrio comes out.
after that grumpigstall needs 3 turns to power up a latias star to 1hko shiftry.
After that 1 farmer +3 more turns: 1 more ko (4 prizes).
Than you just have to send dugtrio doing 120 (plus some claw fossils or grumpig hits) or sudowodoo doing 140.

Ancient Pokemon Trainer: i know and i agree with you on decks invented but not posted, but you (as Americans) should understand that many decks were "invented" in many place of the world at the same time (since some combos are obvious).
Many Flygon EX list included 3 flygon HP, the mews and extra delta techs.... R-gon is really easy to "invent"....
Many people already used mew-eevevolutions and teched in 2-3 absol EX....
The list can go on forever...

Andceo: this is a brave but risky operation... i wonder if a 0-9 metanite will come here posting the result...
btw i think Absolutions is near to 10-90 for grumpigstalll.....

Ah, apologies on the Meganium. I'm clearly out of touch these days :X

You seem to forget though that Steelix is capable of doing more than simply sniping the bench. The only way it dies is if Latias* gets built up (cute little tech btw :D), which is really not that good in decks that manually power up attacks.

I'm spot-on with everything else though. Dugtrio does _not_ dig you out of every little problem because you have to put forth effort into getting it out, and even when you do, most damage spread decks aren't crippled the way ex's are against scepty ex d.

It's not risky, Gatsu: it's just kind of a waste of time. It's the same thing as saying "omg my Zapdos deck is so good play everything you got vs me!!!"

Last of all....the deck concept discussion. Chad and I think of _everything_, and often test our inevitable decks months before we use them. :p

Wrong, my first impression also was it will not work when you have to power it manual.
But I was so wrong. And Steelix has also a problem against dugtrio. First attack NICE take the damage counter, just what you need to KO it. 2 prizes in exchange for 1 = bad deal.
