Hobby Works for hosting, and ensuring the event went smoothly
Karate Experts for lending us the extra chairs
All those who brought chairs
The hardworking staff
The players for making the event enjoyable.
The players showing up in force and once again making Tuskey think he may not have enough product for the other tournaments :biggrin:
The success of the TDC
The Virginia Beach LL for once again making the presence of the Virginia Beach league known.

Slops:
I don't remember Tuskey giving the staff a lunch break :confused:

Thing is, once an event has been "blessed" by PUI with the "official" event label, I can't edit it. I'll try an email. Honestly, new players rarely go to Woodbridge events anyway---unlike Hobby Works which seems to attract new trainers like Viridian Forest.

I just had the chance to talk to them and they did have a great time. My friend and her 2 sons played in the theme deck challenge and she said it was a blast and they will definitely attend other events. Thanks to everyone there for making them feel welcome!

Great to hear that they had a great time. I'd imagine that a large crowd could be off-putting for some new players, so I really work hard to make everyone feel comfortable. My staff in NoVA is great--Shadow Card really loves this game (despite his occasional disagreements with Doreen on these boards :biggrin:) and has made the NoVA leagues immense by any measure. Hobby Works may well get us adequate seating now since they've decided that 70-90 attendance is more than an aberration.
I've decided to go with some plushies and an action figure for Woodbridge--saw a Brock/Crogunk combo that I just couldn't resist--how could you not love Crogunk??
 
Last prerelease in Wbridge:
Masters 20 5 rounds
Seniors 10 4 rounds
Juniors 8 3 rounds
Now, this was Power Keepers--the game has ummm grown a bit since then!!

Done by 4:00-4:30 for masters. (at least that's my prediction!)

Heading off to league now--just a reminder that registration will begin in Woodbridge tomorrow promptly at 11:00. We will combine deckbuilding and lunch break into one pokeblock. Sunday in Mido is full (sorry)
 
Good news guys (except for Shadow Card)! There is almost no swelling so when I see you guys tomorrow you can't laugh at me (for that reason)
