... Attach 3-4 energy draw some attach 1-2 energy. Unown return draw 4-6 more. Seeker draw 3-5 more (have to attach to reshi). Not including ssu or a second unown return. That's 11-17 not including ssu or a second unown return. 4 times as much as a ninetails can do. This usually happens t3ish or 4. Every single solitare game I played I have been able l draw every single care in my deck before taking 3 prizes if I wanted to. It's so easy to get any card you need

Chriscobi, your argument consists of:
1. 'i lol at you guys'
2. your dumb
3. who do you think you are
4. 2 stage twos are not hard to get out at all
5. i get everything off judges that i want
6. you don't always get good starts
7. my attempts at arguing are so much better than yours

why do we even bother.

That sounds like most of the Pokegym. ;x

1: I lol because of how funny and silly your arguments are. Really bring up a thread from a completely different format. REALLY?
2: you guys are. sorry but there is no nicer way to say it. I make valid points yet you guys only read what you wanna read and make really dumb counter points
3: when have I ever said that?
4: they are, AGAIN you guys assume I say you NEED to have them T2 or T3. Never said that, I said T5 or T6. Which I have gotten every single game i've ran this
5: again never said that, even said the opposite. Really please go back and read so that you can see how wrong you guys are on your assumptions about me
6: never said that
7: my points are, I don't attempt

You see it that way as your jumping on the Emboar bandwagon. I LOL at why you would put parentheses on my name. Your the idiot for saying that I have no valid points as you obvious don't want to admit what I have posted is true. AND YET AGAIN, you make a stupid assumption since I clearly stated that even if you don't get a fire energy from Judge it's ok as you already have your energy in the discard.

I love how you guys claim that it's hard to get 2 Typhlosions up. It's no by T5 or T6, which is when you really need it. I never said you need it right from the get go. Sometimes you don't need both Typhlosions out.

But Bud, Didn't you just say you don't need 2 Typhlosions? So... how are you planning on getting two energy if you don't get any energy in your hand after Judge AND only have 1 Typhlosion?

Cause again, that makes TOTAL sense.... Right?

And AGAIN, Trolls these days....

Oh, and Eleki even said it, getting 2 stages 2's and a stage 1 is hard enough, but you basically ruin your mirror just because of that damage counter.

But hey, run it.

Your tournament to lose lol

just played Rambo ( a very good player) and he forfeit when I was up 2-3 prizes. He realized he couldn't get enough counter KOs to keep up with the prize exchange. so far i'm 1-0. He is my playtest buddy so like I said I'll play anyone else on Redshark. just PM me.

What difference would it make for me to have 1 or 2 Typhlosion. Even the energy isn't there for Typhlosion it won't be there for Emboar, so again I really don't understand what your point is with this argument.

At least with Typhlosion if you don't get energy from Judge you can still just get it back from the discard pile and at least do Outrage for something, possible KO depending how much damage you have on you.

If I have 2 Typhlosion it's even better because I can judge and not have to worry about not getting any energy with it. As i can just double attach with them. Not the same scenario with Emboar.

I love how you guys take different points I'm making and put them into another point just to make it seem like it's bad. But even then it's still not bad for Typhlosion.

So until just a few hours ago you hadn't even played the much up and yet you're going around degrading our replys to your faulty-logic statements with lulz and insults.

That makes perfect sense.

Typhlosion/Ninetales is consistent, Emboar/Shuckle is bombastic, that's really what there is to it. I assume you're running PokeGears in the Emboar deck to help hit the cards you need to set up without ninetales? I've tried the deck a bit, and when it gets a decent draw it does well, but when it gets a poor draw it's a lot slower to dig out.

Cobian, I'm just going to poke at one of your arguments...

You're thinking about the wrong Emboar. The one with the Ability does a straight 4 for 80, no discard, no nothing.

Typhlosion is the one that requires a discard. It's 3 for 70, discard one to discard an opponent's energy.

In the current format, Emboar/Shuckle is superior. It's not susceptible to Power Spray or Mesprit, though Dialga stops the draw engine. Emboar/Shuckle/Ninetales? That's a LOT of bench space IMO...

Next format, when Rams are hitting against each other, it's probably about even. Outrage becomes a much more powerful weapon, but the 120 is still beastly when necessary. Emboar empties the hand more quickly, allowing for better Juniper/PONT/CC drops. Typhlosion likes all the discarding more, but will generally take an additional turn to recover from a Ram KO due to the limited nature of Typh's power.

Ok, this is a forum about top decks of the new format. Not reshiboar vs typhlosionram or what not, if this isn't going to be a thread about top decks, someone may as well make a new thread.

Just drop the argument and open your minds and think about the new possibility!
EEVEELUTIONS
LOSTGAR
SERPIRICLUS
ETC ETC

Lets get back on topic everyone :)

I was drawing comparison between you and alex2k trying to defend an inferior card :/

For the record, Typhlosion has WAY better synergy with Ninetales. Even with Shuckle Emboar needs 3 energy to match Ninetales, and then those energy need to be picked back up. I don't like the Shuckle engine in Emboar that much, it sort of sets you backwards if you only have a couple energy.

The only reason Shuckle's being considered is because of Power Spray and Mesprit. It'll probably be a one-of in most decks, and used only against decks that run heavy Spray or Spirit lines. With Seeker, it's a viable draw engine.

At the moment the most useful water pokemon are Gator Prime and Kingdra Prime, and Kingdra Prime's usefulness against fire is literally non-existant.

I have to disagree. Kingdra Prime is rather useless against fire, Kingdra with Water Arrow is not. That Kingdra can abuse DCE and be very effective against Emboar and Reshiram. I'm suprised it hasn't been mentioned already.

Water Arrow does 30 for 1 Water Energy to ANY of your opponent's Pokemon. Hitting the Bench will be huge in the next format.

True, Ty prime works well with Tails, that doesn't make it right for Reshiram/Emboar 150.

I see what you're saying with shuckle. I guess what you could do is fisherman some energy back, then attatch away and draw like 4 cards? then, on your next turn, play seeker, and pick it up. You can either power up Reshiram/Emboar 150, or attatch them back to shuckle for more draw power. But all of this is after you've attacked with Reshiram/Emboar 150 twice though. Interviewers questions can get a lot of energy's too.

Hmm.... It sounds ok though, but shuckle seems to depend on a lot to set up.

How about Samurott?

Tech in the non-Ability one. 30 + 30 snipe for [C][C] is nice.

I don't like Shuckle in Emboar/Reshiram. Seems gimmicky. There are other decks where it would be very good though.

Zekrom players and other Reshiram players will kindly thank anyone using Typhlosion over Emboar. That 1 little tiny meaningless damage counter you just put on Reshiram just brought you into OHKO range.

I get the feeling that those playing the Typhlosion version will abandon the 120 and focus on Outrage for the entire battle against other R@m players.
