I am needing of assistance

I am trying to find statistics on how many American students are enrolled in the German language in percentage. I tried googling up and found one a couple days ago and then I can't find it anymore. If anyone that is good at finding websites could help me out it would very appreciated.

I couldn't find anything for the 2007-2008 school year. The last time someone made statistics about foreign language was in 2002. http://www.usatoday.com/news/2003-11-06-foreign-tongues.htm

I rarely hear of schools offering German. It seems rather impractical. If we're stepping outside the range of Romance languages it seems that Asian languages would be the best to learn, or even Arabic.

My high school offered German. I would have taken it but I heard the teacher was horrible so I chose French instead. That teacher was brillant.
