Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Ipod touch or wii?

Wi-Fi. All you need to do to get it is go out to a store, almost any department store, or an electronics store like Radio Shack, then buy a wireless router. Plug your internet connection into it. If you're lucky like most people you won't need to do much to set it up, maybe just an encryption to make sure your neighbor isn't stealing from you.

Now you have Wi-Fi that the Wii and iPod touch can connect to. But if you want a Wii and don't want to buy a router just to go online with it, then you can go out to GameStop or buy online a Wii USB to LAN adapter so you can directly plug the internet wire into the Wii.

Wi-Fi will usually work outside your house. It all depends on the range of your router and where you put it in your house. I have my router on the second story of the house, and I can sit on the porch outside and get a signal, even though there is a solid brick wall!

lol, then why didn't you just ask your dad these questions you have on wi-fi ... as long as your router is powerful enough to send a sufficient signal outside, you can connect outside. Talk to your dad.

No i meant like when you go like more then a mile away from your house i know your wireless router can't connect that far And i was wonderning where you could get an another connection then i found out about hotspots.

I'm going to vote for Kerry Strugg!

Ahem...

...I'd honestly go for the Wii. The iPod Touch, even with its WiFi internet, is nothing more than a juiced up MP3 player with, as stated earlier, less storage space than many regular MP3 players. That, and its honestly not worth the price IMO. I'd graba Blackberry or equally useful SmartPhone before grabbing a iTouch.

The Wii will work fine if you've already got the wireless router. And since you have a 'Cube already, touve laready got a selection of games to play. id suggest picking up, along w/ the system:

Super Mario Galaxy
SSB:B
Mario Kart Wii
Prime 3 or Resident Evil 4 (depending on your age; RE4 is M)
A Wii Points card so you can buy Virtual Console and other games online.
At least two extra Wii-motes and a Couple Nunchucks

Hope this helps!

Just a quick question. Have you ever actually used an iPod touch? I own an iPod touch and a Wii. Both are good products. Really the question the op is asking is a decision they'll have to make. One is a video game system the other isn't.

Do you currently own a ipod? Then I really see no point in a itouch as it is not that big of a deal. I would go with the wii as it will bring you hrs of fun!:thumb: And like mentionwed above you already have games to play until you get some wii games. And wii sports is deifnately a fun way to pass time. I myself have both....Well my son does and he plays his wii more than he uses his itouch for anything more than listening to music. Odd time he will check out youtube but not to often.

So in conclussion you would definately , I'm sure, will enjoy a wii much much more.

I think the key here is how often do you leave the house.

If you go out to eat a lot, or go to sibling's sporting events, or go to doctor's offices, ride the school bus, etc. a lot, then a multimedia portable device is a great pick.

If you're at home and don't get out much, then a Wii would be of more use.

That is what I'd say it boils down to. Personally I can't keep my hands off of portable gadgets. Wherever I go I bring an iPod, and sometimes a DS or a PSP. Just so great to pass time in the car and other situations where there is waiting involved. Plus iPods are fun to listen to while walking/jogging. Recently I've been converting some of my DVDs to play on iPod. It is a very long but almost fully automated process that is very rewarding in the end.

no its new in a package its like on a dallas website where you go pick it up and you can put advertisements or sell stuff on it.

Try to get one with the new 2.0 firmware, or just pay the $10. You'll definitely want that!

I would get the wii any day. I just got rockband for it and cant get off of it.:

Get the wii
it is soo much better and if you already have a Gamecube you can play those games aswell as newer wii games

I'd get the Wii. There is so much you can do with it. I just finished playing through Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the first time ever, getting it from the Shop Channel for 1000 Wii Points ($10.00; if you have a Credit/Debit Card you can buy points right in the Channel). It was probably the best deal I have ever gotten on any video game in my life. I have also previously purchased Paper Mario and Pokemon Snap for 100 Wii Points each. Those plus SSBB equals win. And you can use the Gamecube remote to play those old games; you don't need to buy the classic controller.

The Wii is the way to go. The iPod Touch is over-rated. If you want an iPod get the Nano 8Gb which are around $200 new, are a 4Gb for $149.99. They (the 8Gb iPod) cost about half that of an Touch. Wii's are easy to find now but Nintendo has already announced that there will be supply shortages during this holiday season. iPod's are never in short supply so you can get one any time.
