OK, as PokePop suggested, I'm starting a topic to talk about the Japanese players who will be at world's. Honestly, I had no idea Japan was even involved in this. My understanding was that their game was completley seperate from our. Does anyone have insight that they can share on this, and just the whole situation in general?

i'm sure they're informed of the format, and on the japanese main site, they're advertising the tournament, so who knows what's gonna happen...
 
Just wondering if you guys have heard anything about the card rulings at worlds being based on the oringinal Japanese translations since that's what I was told by one of my local judges. If that is the case unless their's a site to get those translations the players from Japan are going to have another major advantage on top of the fact that the newest set to us has usually been available in Japan for at least a month.
 
Wait! If Japanese players are entering the tourny, will they be ble to use Blastoise EX, won't they? Doesn't anyone think that is kinda unfair?
 
I don't think they will be able to, I think they are restricted to what our Modified rules are here in the U.S.. Well if they are a set ahead of us, then they can't use any Expedition, Aquapolis or Skyridge. I'd say that kind of evens things out for us, well thats if they are able to use the new set we don't have. :)

Well i don't think they should be aloud to play if they have Blastoise EX and we don't.

Well i think if they are going to play at worlds they have to play by our Modified rules. it is in the USA after all.

Professer Dav said at the South Stadium Challenge that they would be playing by our rules. The only Blastoise Ex's to be seen will be in the prizes :D
