While only slightly Pokémon TGC related, I figured this *might* be of interest to a few people here..

Nintendo has an exciting opportunity in our Trading Card group. This individual will manage and administer relationships with trading card distributors and retailers to maximize sales of Nintendo card products.

I dunno if anyone here would be qualified for the position, but it'd be neat. :)

On a side note, this makes a certian other topic a little more interesting...

I bet it would be a lot of work, but also a fun job to have.

i waited a long time for a job to open up in the TCG world. If i thought i had ANY hope of getting it i would apply in a hart beat. See im a 3rd year college student. Im going for a degree in computer networking and systems administration (which has alot of buissness classes in it) I feel that i could do the job, and do it good, plus it would give me a chance to get on the team :D I do have sales experience (only 1 year) i have REALLLLLLY good knowlege about the program skills required (im a programer!) and heck TCG knowlege? please :D i have that coming out my ears. Still for some reason i dont think i would get hired though

Sounds like a typical rep-type job. Salary isn't listed, but I'd peg it at about $50K, +/- $15K depending on the actual scope of the job.

It's not about the pay, silly. It's about getting NoA to finally release the Game and Watch e-cards... ;)

The other question to think about it yes it would be fun, but how stable of a job it is? Would it be a long time thing?

Grasshopper...when it is a hobby it is fun...when it is a job it is work!

You couldn't pay me enough to do some of my hobbies, but I do them willingly when I want to. Food for thought.

Well this is what the entry in the jobs bid lists..:
Job:Sales Specialist
Department:pokemon Trading Card Group
Location:Redmond, WA
Date Posted:03-01-04

So this is in the Pokemon department.

Note to self: Don't ask PMB what his hobbies are.......

It doesn't hurt to try and apply for the job, the worst they can do is say that they are not going to hire you.

You'd have to be willing to relocate to the NorthWest, though. I think.
It wouldn't hurt to see if you could work remotely.
