I recently saw this movie and I thought it was great! All the actors are amazing, especially Ellen Page(Juno). One of my favorite parts about the movie were all the great songs, they were very unique and had great lyrics.

Please post your thoughts and opinions on this movie.:) Also please keep it PG-rated.

i thought it was horrible. the story wasn't interesting whatsoever. it was pretty much just watching someone's every day life. **** happens. just my thoughts.

it's nothing even remotely similar to superbad. it's not funny, whereas superbad was.

i totally agree, films should be made about things that you can't see within your day to day lives. they need to show the audience something amazing. if they don't do that, they're just a waste of time and money.

I disagree. I mean, a movie that depicts the day-to-day life of a normal human being hits a little closer to home for me. I see what you're saying about movies being amazing, but different movies appeal to different people. I haven't seen Juno, but it looks kind of like The Squid and the Whale stylistically, a movie that I could nearly swear was about me. It was about the everyday lives of some people, but it was still amazing. I figure that Juno appeals to a lot of people who were in the same situation as the characters in the movie, so maybe for those people it was amazing.

Either way, I meant to go see the movie, but things didn't work out and we saw The Kite Runner instead. It was pretty good.

I can actually see how people would dislike this movie. It isn't action filled or "amazing" as Brendan put it but I still thought it was a good movie. I haven't seen Superbad so I can't compare it to that.

This movie definately has more appeal to girls(I am a girl). Or like Eriknance said girls that have been through the same thing, I have not but still enjoyed it.

I like these kinds of movies better then some action-packed, horror, thriller movie. I also thoguth it was pretty funny.

Again, I really couldn't see a typical boy (no offense) liking this movie much, since it is sort of "boring." I really don't mean to offend anyone by that.

Although I have not seen it, from what I've heard, it is something more for girls. Wasen't it like nominated for best screenplay or something like that for some Awards show?

To paraphrase the great philosopher Carlos Mencia, boys tend to prefer movies full of action and out-of-this-world things that they can't encounter in their own lives. Girls, on the other hand, usually prefer realistic movies full of easily relatable situations. Of course there are exceptions in both cases, but for the majority, it tends to be true.

Anyways, I thought it was pretty good, as did everyone I saw it with (mostly girls).
It seems as though I'm the only person I've talked to that actually liked Jason Bateman's character (Forgot the character's name; the one that was gonna be the adoptive father of the baby). Everyone said the reason they didn't like him was because he left his wife to try and be with Juno or something... but I didn't pick up on that, I guess. I thought he was just leaving his wife and coincidentally liked Juno as a friend - nothing more.
    Hooray for obliviousness.

Michael Cera's character was Bleaker. He was the boy who got Juno pregnant. I don't remember the name of the guy who left his wife.

Ah, that's right, I meant Jason Bateman. I get them confused because they were father and son on Arrested Development.

Haven't seen it personally, but from what I've seen, it just turns a normally serious, bad situation (teen pregnancy) into a comedy (which it probably isn't in real life). Doesn't exactly sound that thrilling.

Well would you by chance be a guy? As BT said, boys prefer to go and see things "thrilling" and action packed.

Yeah, I happen to be a guy, but I only used "thrilling" to mean that this movie doesn't sound that realistic in the subject matter it portrays.
