    (Ultimate Search Engine)

    15 Pokemon
    3 Delcatty(R/S Holo)
    3 Skitty
    3 Linoone(R/S)
    3 Zigzagoon(Sandstorm)
    3 Dunsparce

    27 Trainers
    3 Professor Birch
    3 Lady Outing
    2 Lure Ball
    3 Fast Ball
    2 Dual Ball
    2 Oran Berry
    4 Potion
    4 Switch
    4 Energy Switch

    18 Energy
    6 Water Energy
    6 Fire Energy
    6 Grass Energy

Yeah this deck was just a quick thought up. So it proberly won't be that good. You might be asking why I have 6 energy of 3 types? Because all my pokemon are colorless, that means they can use any kind of energy. And with Lady Outing, I can go get one of each for no flip, no stipulation, no discards. Energy Switch works AWESOME in this deck being that I can move energy around without using a power or anything. Switch is a staple. I had too many supporters so I took some out and replaced some with their non-supporter version. All I am looking for here is quick speed. Like the name of the deck, USE(Ultimate Search Engine). Each of the cards can search or draw you cards very easily.

Go ahead and change it lol

What's the point of searching if you have nothing to really search for!?!

Exactly. The only way I can see this work is piling a whole mess of energy on Delcatty. Otherwise what do you plan to do with all that card-drawing?

Rigged Coin + Linoone = GOOD GAME SUCKAS!!!!!!!!!!

Rofl, otherwise, this deck just doesn't look good at all... everything dies too easily, and delcatty/linoone Really are NOT very good attackers.

    Like Steve said, "No Thanks"

this deck really doesn't seem to have a point might want to try boost so you can get boost with your draw power attach it to dellcatty and sniff it out with linoone ss which it should be changed to

SteveP: I think you won the award for having the shortest, least helpful post. I really wish you would try to help others instead of giving them useless jabber and spaming up their thread. Have a nice day =D

Okay so I have to have a combo for a deck to work? I don't think so. But just to please everyone else, I will turn this deck from crap to gold. OKay so I will need to revamp the whole thing. What kind of pokemon shall I use in the combo? How about the mega popular delcatty? Nah, I guess I will just use brand new pokemon. How about a bite back deck i have seen before. Use the three energy thing again.

    18 Pokemon
    3 Cacturne(Sandstorm)
    3 Cacnea(Sandstorm/Body)
    3 Arcanine(Sandstorm)
    3 Growlithe(Sandstorm/Body)
    3 Sharpedo(R/S)
    3 Carvanha(R/S)

    24 Trainers
    4 Professor Birch
    4 Oracle
    4 Lady Outing
    4 Potion
    4 Switch
    4 Energy Switch

    18 Energy
    3 Rainbow
    5 Water
    5 Grass
    5 Fire

So...for the new point of the deck. Anytime your opponent hits you, they get hit back. With 3 types of pokemon, you may be thinking, "That's impossible to play". But I have to disagree. You have good search with oracle. You can search out 3 different energy with Lady Outing. You can move all the energy around with Energy Switch. And Birch is there to draw the oracle cards and get some other stuff.

    Is this any better?

To be fair, you did set out a nice straight line for him: "Please USE this deck"
Take his "No thanks" in context.

This it the deck help and strategy forum. No help I saw in the two word post. No reason to take it in context either.

Prime, okay, you got me on the spam issue. Like PokePop said, I was just poking fun at your title not your deck; although, your deck certainly was interesting (not necessarily one I'd build).

Regarding the bite back deck, I've tested one myself in a local tournament, and except for a bad draw in my last game (I got KO'd in 3 turns), I would've went undefeated. Your initial deck looks similiar to my original deck. After requesting help to improve my own bite back deck in this forum, here's the three changes I made to make is slightly better:

    1. Add Boost energy instead of grass for 2 reasons. One, the Cacturne energy requirements are all colorless. Two, Boost is great for Cacturne's attack.

    2. Add Mirage Stadium. THere's nothing more frustrating than unsuccessfully trying to retreat out of poison or burn.

    3. Use Multi Energy instead of Rainbow. You don't get the self-damage, plus if you happen to put 2 Multi energies on Arcanine with a single Fire energy, you won't need to discard the Multi energies if you flip tails.

I didn't use the Switch/Energy Switch trainers in my deck, but I like that change to this deck. Also, if you drop the grass, you can drop a Lady Outing or two and add more draw trainers. Finally, you'll be surprised how wonderful just one Fishermen is for this deck.

Sorry about the unintended dissing. :)

No prob about the dissing, I just get mad when someone posts useless information in a thread asking for help.

Oh did I copy your deck completely? My fault. All I knew of was the name Bite Back had been used before. Great minds think alike I guess. Wow, boost energy, that would work alright. I would rather play bounce energy myself. It provides two colorless and actually stays on any pokemon. Yes, I did say any pokemon. It doesn't have to go on only evolved pokemon. It's a great first turn power up to a second turn evolution and attack. Not only thtat but all the pokemon take two colorless and one of it's own energy to attack(other than the basics and cacturne), so it works great with powering them up. It works great with arcanine so he doesn't have to discard 3 fire energy. So with the suggestions you and others have given, here is the new bite back deck.

    18 Pokemon
    3 Cacturne(Sandstorm)
    3 Cacnea(Sandstorm/Body)
    3 Arcanine(Sandstorm)
    3 Growlithe(Sandstorm/Body)
    3 Sharpedo(R/S)
    3 Carvanha(R/S)

    24 Trainers
    4 Professor Birch
    3 Oracle
    3 Lady Outing
    4 Potion
    3 Switch
    4 Energy Switch
    1 Fisherman
    2 Mirage Stadium

    18 Energy
    4 Bounce Energy
    7 Water
    7 Fire

How about that? I think that is alot better! Thanks for the tips!

Reatreating only cures poison. Burn always stays on :)

Actually, all Special Conditions could be removed by switching the affected Pokémon.

Anyway, I like the new deck, and the Bounce Energy strategy looks great.

Yah, I agree with the Bounce Energy idea somewhat in this deck. However, do remember that without Dark Energy, Sharpedo can only do 40 damage. In my own Bite Back deck, I used 7 fire, 6 water, 4 multi, 2 boost. Those 70 damage attacks by Sharpedo often come in very handy. But if you prefer bounce over boost and multi, that's okay too.

The thing with boost energy is that opponents can't tell if you have one or not. Also, a 2nd turn Cacturne/Arcanine/Sharpedo with Boost can sometimes win you the game if your opponent had a bad draw.

Other than our differences about energies, your second editions looks stronger.

You need at least 4 Dark and 4 Rainbow/Multi energy if you're gonna play Sharpeedo!

You're thinking of Char. Similar to Burn, but not a Special Condition.

Explain to me again how Bounce is good? You have to return a basic energy card from your guy to your hand... its just like attaching an energy but if you get stuck with it as your only energy in your opening hand... its useless. Sure, it's OK with Arcanine, but I'd rather just be able to Lady Outing by playing Grass or something in this. Another drawback is if an ER2 hits, it can remove 2 of your energy.

Definitely go with Boost. You need it, your pokemon have too low of health to really stay up and running for enough turns to where you can keep on building up other guys. With Boost, this allows for a 1 turn power up of Cacturne. Its situational, but it can really be the turning point of the game.

    Good luck with it.

Well Bounce energy works great with delcatty how you can move an energy to your hand to discard and draw 3 cards. Also, it is an effective way to pay 2 colorless on a pokemon with only having to attach 2 energy cards to a pokemon. And if you do put 2 fire or water on a pokemon, you get to lay a bounce, powering up that pokemon, then also moving an energy to your hand in which you can power up something else next turn. If you continue to power up pokemon that have two color energy on them with bounce, you are guaranteed to have an energy in your hand to use next turn.

Also, IMO it is better than boost because you can lay bounce first turn and then lay a fire or water the next turn and have a powered up stage 1 by the second turn in which the energies don't go away after one turn. Boost does help with powering all the pokemon up full but you do need a fire or water energy attached to them(excluding cacnea) to attack so bounce works just as great and doesn't go away after first turn.

THe one thing I absoultely hate about boost is that it goes away after one turn. That means you may get in a attack but if it isn't game winning then your screwed for the next three turns. Leaving you open for three turns is not as good as you might think.

Prime, FYI, you can't attach Bounce to an Energy-less Pokemon (i.e, first turn). Here's Bounce Energy's game text:

Furthermore, nikePK makes an excellent point. Boost is a situational card that can really give your Pokemon a 1-turn boost before they get KO'd.

Hey, using Boost is a choice. But Bounce energy doesn't give the Bite Back deck any big advantage other than for Arcanine's attack. Although Boost has it's drawbacks (discarding after using it), it may be just what you need to win the game. It's one of those cards you hold in your hand for special situations. But, if holding cards is not something you prefer, I can understand your preference for Bounce (although not my choice).

Wow, that's for clearing that up. I really wish they would release a multi energy that didn't have so high prices. Boost has a huge price and bounce is almost just as worse. Well I always hate to have to hold a card in my hand. What if I shuffle my hand? Bye bye card. But I still prefer bounce. I know, boost could be your ticket to a win, but if you need one card to win a game then you proberly weren't winning the game to start with. So I see it that I can lay a boost and on turn three have a fully powered up pokemon(just as with regular energy) and still have energy to go around. Thing is, boost only works great on cacturne, and even there, you are only doing 40 damage. I tell you, if there was a good fast way to get out cacturne fast and easy with the boost on it, and keep the boost on it, then you would have a beast being able to do 40 damage to any pokemon every turn.
