WPM says when he gets em', he'll scan them and post them.

I'll look for em'.

Yeah, your right about next set. I doubt they will put 3 pokemon on a sleeve, but it would be cool if they did. I think Mewtwo then. Black Sleeve with purple Mewtwo.

anyone who HAS the sleeves in their possession now is under NDA and is not legally *allowed* to disclose what they look like. so that tells you something about 'beach's 'source' now doesn't it?

As for the Sub Text Name things, you need to look at it fro mthe George Forman Perspective:

Eahc of his sons are George Forman, and they are all called Geroge, however they are further identified by the Numeric value fro differentiation. So whereas Burmy X Cloak is the full name of the card, the PRIMARY Name is Burmy and that is what they are called, Burmy. For Deck Construciton and legality (Just as the LEgality of George Forman IV) the full name is then viewed for separators. So, in conclusion, my take on it is the Deck looks for the Surname if you will of Deoxys and then looks for the Legal name of X Forme to identify if they are the same! Since the Forme Name is different this is what allows for the multiples.

Mothim looks for the Surname of Burmy alone, it ignores the legal name of X Cloak as an identifier. Mothim just cares if it is a Burmy or not and the character is a Burmy.

Now if that ain't clear as mud, I don't know what is!

That they're not a TO/PTO? Since otherwise they would have given it to me and I would have posted it already? :p

PHAIL.

so who are you getting them from 'later' this week in order to scan them? pres don't start till saturday...

Doreen: You know he wont tell. That is his standard line..."Its not a TO/PTO". He never says that it might be a child/employee of a PTO, which is just as bad IMO.

Keith

EDIT: I see he has posted a "fine reply" Unless that means he is hacking into PUI's website and looking at confidential info.

No one with a relationship to a PTO/TO/whatever. No one who deals with playing Pokemon whatsoever. No child/teenager/employee of a TO/PTO, though it could be a teenager in general. ;)

There, I took your bait. :p

I thought you were a lawyer. Look at the evidence. Think about the evidence. You know the poster loves riddles and clues and hints and stuff. It's not even a riddle. It's right there. But it doesn't really say anything anyways. Nothing that could clue you in, anyway.

But just for fun, yes, I have hacked into PUI's website. I have made their computers come to life, pick up cards off the machines that print them, place them on to scanners, and e-mail them to me. Then I deleted the paper trail. They don't even know their computers are like the toys from Toy Story at night!!

As WPM stated, that argument falls flat on its face. I can think of lots of ways in which the sleeves can be in the posession of someone who hasn't signed a NDA.

However...

"Sources."

Seriously? Guys every time he posts info early, we have this tired argument over and over again. If PUI wants to do something about it, then let them. It would be stupid for them to block one of the only sources of mass publicity they have for the 'fan' market.

It's also AFAIK the most popular Pokémon gossip/news website, and a darned fine one. It might be immoral what he is doing, it might even fall foul of copyright law. But its certainly a service that brightens my day, and I would be sad to see it go.

Deal with it. He doesn't want to give the sources. Let's leave it there.

d

PS: WPM, that post I quoted didn't have to be so obnoxious. At least, that's how I see it. Defending your point is fine, but it does come across like that; his binary reads:

You're not going to find out... eva! So stop asking. :)

Of course, this was translated into normal text in my head

???? How did pokebeach get these scans before the pre and before pop Posted???

Weird

^ They have 'sources'.

Like PUI, probably.

No, not PUI.
All the PTOs have the cards now, including all of the owners of the PokeGym.
We, however, honor our word and contract with PUI as PTOs and keep the information confidential until after the first prerelease.

Some PTO (or their staff or family), on the other hand...

Is this a special case that's covered somewhere in the DP rules? I haven't really played this game properly for a couple of years and haven't kept up to scratch with this kind of thing. What are the rules concerning Shellos/Gastrodon and Burmy/Wormadam? Can you have 4 of each variety?

If you're going to discourage people from going to prereleases, then I'm going to discourage people from answering your questions. You think people are going to have local events if they have bad turnouts? What you suggest is a slow death of their local PTO-ship and therefore no local events.

As WPM stated, that argument falls flat on its face. I can think of lots of ways in which the sleeves can be in the posession of someone who hasn't signed a NDA.

However, all of them involve a person who HAS signed an NDA giving THAT person access that they should not have.

Beach has the cards and the promo and the sleeves.
He has had them while PUI has changed their fullfillment company, the place where those three things all come together into one place.
So, the next stop on the line is PTOs.

I agree with what you're saying, but I think you misquoted

I don't know what you mean by fulfilment company, but nope, none of the examples I'm thinking of involve anyone with a NDA. It's all about being in the right place at the right time .

Of course, an argument can be made about it being immoral to then disclose that information, but I doubt it is codified in law to make it illegal. But I'm no IP law expert.

I would warn WPM about one thing though: push PUI too far and they are bound to litigate. He may want to find out about WotC and Rancored_Elf...

You know how Target and TRU sometime sell the cards early? How do we know it isn't a kid of some Target/TRU owner?
