Does anyone know if there's a London State Championship this year, and if so, when it's going to be held?

Hmmm . . . it was working earlier.

It said that London States was in a pub in Lewisham on 17th March IIRC.

function room attached to the pub it what I've been told.

[google streetview has a picture of the pub and attached function room.]

well they weren't in the bar

three Durants in the T8 masters playoff
Three Durants in the T4 masters playoff
Durant vs Durant final .

Wow, well this just shows this deck is a bit much for most other decks to handle and it is very close to complete auto pilot. What a sad state this game is in currently....

It proves that Durant was a good metagame call on the day, that's all.

It isn't quite as autopilot as people think. It's not like any of the other meta decks are exactly rocket science either.

So yeah, I dispute your first two conclusions despite not playing the deck myself.

Can't disagree with the last one though.

I think the biggest problem is that a large majority of players can't afford Mewtwo EXs, and for a tournament like this, will chose the next best deck available to them. I only saw 5 other people out of 35 using either Zekrom/Eels or CMT, while I played against Durant in half of my games (and it would have been more if I won in Top 4). I'm sure that if Mewtwo EXs were a lot more readily available, the tournament results would be completely different.

So you're basically saying at least 2/3 of the field was playing Durant?

Strange, considering no one in Cumbernauld played it.

2/3 is a bit of an exaggeration, but there was a lot of Durant.

Did everyone at Cumbernauld have Mewtwos?
