Hello gym community, those who know me as kirbyking and those who know me as Payton. I decided to write up a report with my trips to Longview, TX and Pearl, MS.

Pre-tourney - I did no testing to prepare. I know it is blunt, but I was busy. I did make a few changes to my deck, but it generally stayed the same. Here was my list

Pokémon:

3x Darkrai EX
1x Shaymin EX
3x Hydreigon
1x Zweilous
2x Deino dragon
1x Deino dark
3x Sableye
1x Mewtwo EX
1x Keldeo EX

Trainer:

4x Professor Juniper
3x Bianca
4x N
1x Skyla

4x Pokémon Catcher
3x Dark Patch
3x Rare Candy
2x Eviolite
3x Ultra Ball
3x Max Potion
1x Tool Scrapper
1x Computer Search
1x Random Receiver

Energy:

8x Basic Darkness Energy
3x Blend Energy Grass/Fire/Psychic/Darkness

I felt pretty confident about the list except the Skyla count, but I didn't own anymore:frown:

We were a little close on timing, but got really lucky because they switched location and took a little while to get setup. I met my friend Aaron and David and then signed up my list, I am very sorry if I forgot your name. I am extremely bad with names.

Longview, Texas Masters

Round 1 - Fire and Water

I saw blastoise, but regardless he didn't play a lot of supporters and I took the win slowly. GG 1-0

Round 2 - David with Keldeo/Blastoise

I had to play my friend David round 2, which is irritating because I dead drew and he got T2 blastoise. I mounted a comeback, but still lost badly. GG 1-1

Round 3 - Water

I am not entirely sure what this was, but I remembered I spammed computer search and sableye and won. GG 2-1

Round 4 - Garchomp/Altaria/Mewtwo

This round I remember more vividly. I start darkrai to his Mewtwo. We both start slow as I draw garbage off an early N. I remember I killed his mewtwo and got lucky because I drew a supporter out of my prizes. He revenge killed me with a Garchomp. Next I porceeded to get Hydreigon out and I took the match from there by 3 prizes. GG 3-1

Round 5 - Ho-oh

I remember I started off slow this match. He started to get stuff set up, but I managed to get Hydreigon out. We were pretty close in prizes, but I ended walking away with the win by 3 prize cards. GG 4-1

I excitingly went and told my dad we'll probably be staying longer. My heart sank when I looked at the standings. 5th I was disappointed, but I got to eat olive garden, so I felt a lot better.

Next I had a tournament in Mississippi. I got to spend time with friends that we were staying with Friday, then go to the tournament Saturday. I got at the Mcallisters and met some friends. My friend Jimmy let me borrow a Skyla, so I took out a RR and put in a Skyla.

Pearl, MS

Round 1 - Patrick with Blastoise/Keldeo

I met Patrick at Texas Regionals when he beat me Round 1. After that, he became a good friend and it was nice to see him. I start Sableye, Darkrai, Sableye. My hand was Dark, Dark, Dark, Blend. I lucked out though when he played N and I got a much better hand. Sadly for him his hand he got was very poor. I beat him quickly. Sorry Patrick. GG 1-0

Round 2 - Rayeels

Again I am terrible with names. I remember she started no supporters and couldn't draw any. GG 2-0

Round 3 - Jacob with Ho-oh

I don't really need to explain this. He start sigilyph, Mewtwo, and a hand full of energies. Sorry for the bad luck Jacob. 3-0

Round 4 - Mikey with Darkrai/Hydreigon

I cannot for the life of me remember this match. I remember he started really hot and I didn't. He won by a close 3 prize cards. GG 3-1

Round 5 - Darkrai/Terrakion/Hammers

I started off extremely slow and he went burning through a lot of resources. He used all 4 junipers and discarded a lot of important cards. I caught up do to him missing resources. GG 4-1

I learned my friend Patrick beat out a 3-1, so we had an even number for top 4. Thanks Patrick!

Standings
1st Ho-oh
2nd Me Darkrai/Hydreigon
3rd Mikey Darkrai/Hydreigon
4th Jacob Ho-oh

Top 4 - Mikey with Mirror

His list was a little different as he played Giritina and prisms. Anyway, this game I started of very hot getting Hydreigon out and doing massive damage to his field. He couldn't recover as I took game 1.

Game 2

This time he went really hot and I prized 2 Hydreigons, so he took a close one in game 2.

Game 3

This game Mikey had some bad luck. I hit T2 or T3 hydreigon/Darkrai and he scooped.

GGs Mikey your a great pokemon player.

Top 2 - Ho-oh

I was too tired to remember this guy's name, but I know he had the same list as Jacob. To tell truth, my luck was so awful this game. I bounced back though. Him being down to 1 prize I N'd and got it down to 3 prizes. I played a late N, but whiffed on an important Max potion and he killed a darkrai with Terrakion.

Game 2

This game my start was solid, but it didn't matter. His last four prizes were: Energy switch, Energy switch, Energy switch, DCE.

Game 3

I can't say this game was really that good. My start was great, but we hit time early and I made some misplays knowing time would be called soon. Plus he start Mewtwo to put early pressure. Needless to say I lost this, but almost tricked him with an evilited Deino. He saw the eviolite at the last second though. :(

GGs bro you deserved it. He pulled a Celebi EX and a Computer Search, Mikey pulled a FA Cheren, Jacob pulled a Keldeo, and what did I pull? A crystal Edge. Ah well I am happy with second place.
