Last night (Nov. 20, 04) starting at 8pm, EB Games in City Walk hosted the DS Launch party with GCN and DS Demos, music, freebes, and much more and was the first place where you could get the DS at Midnight.
It was Awsome, to bad the paty got cut a little short when we got a freak downpour at aound 10pm. But everyone stuck around 'till midnight anyways just to get thier hand on the very first DSs sold to the public.
Now, when I bought my DS at about 9pm, I wish they had mentioned that we had to get a ristband to hold our place in line. I didn't find out 'till the very last second when they kicked everyone out of the store at 11:30pm to restart the registers. I ended up being #216 in line (and thier was still about another 60 or so people behind me.
At about 1:30am today (Nov. 21, 04) I finally got my hands on my very own DS and Mario 64 DS.
All in all... other than the unexpected rain, it was totally worth it and will most likely do it again if they do the same for N5.
