Malamar Energy Control Deck Suggestions

I have been messing around with Malamar(AO)'s ability and found a somewhat interesting approach.

The MAIN idea for this deck is using Malamar's 2nd skill to recyle crushing hammer/team flare grunt and a variety of trainer cards for constant energy/board control while setting up Yveltal for dmg.
This energy control deck aims to limit the amount of energy cards the opponent can have on his cards. It is especially good against EXs with heavy cost attacks. Without enough energy cards attached, these EXs may become easy prize cards for Yveltal.

This is the best I could do with the cards that I currently have (starter).
Any suggestion on ways to improve its consistency is appreciated.

The Porygon seems like too much work for too little payoff. 50 damage and confusion on a stage 2? It's just slowing down the whole deck at that point. I'd think you'd be better off increasing Trainers Mail, Hammers, and tossing in a couple Battle Compressors, since your Malamar just digs the cards back out of the discard.

Alternatively, I've thought of a different approach to Malamar. Stick with the energy disruption as suggested, but instead of Yveltal, use Eevees to add Fire, Water or Electric type to your Malamar. That's 100 damage with weakness and Muscle Band, plus recycling any card you want for next turn. I haven't had the chance to try out the idea a whole lot but it might be something to toy around with.

Why the Ancient Trait Porygon-Z? The non-Ancient Trait one is better suited to this deck, though even that probably isn't worth the investment. Although, if you did really have your sights set on the Ancient Trait one, you should probably be running Crawdaunt (or Primal Clash Milotic I guess, but it's kind of irrelevant with Malamar.) It's probably not worthwhile to use Porygon-Z at all, though.

You're also very light on draw Supporters (Trainers' Mail and Shaymin-EX could also fall under this category.) Which is probably part of why this deck isn't so consistent. The high Evosoda count is odd, too, considering that the only Pokemon you can search with it that Level Ball can't hit is Porygon-Z, and you could, and probably should, be running Ultra Ball, which can get that, Yveltal and Yveltal-EX. Hmm, actually, speaking of, you don't run the non-EX Yveltal, either. Might be worth considering, especially with such a heavy Yveltal-EX line.
