Mario: Why?

LOL and Ramen Truk isn't even the best way to play Lucario to be honest.

But you, like the other elites here, aren't going to tell us the best way to play it, are you? No, you're just another elite - an elite within your Netherlands group, or wherever you're from.

Hope you feel good about yourself after that last post.

Big Red did not say that it was the best .... all he was saying that Mario can't be Mario with out the Machamp and lucario after all you can't spell Mario from Blissy/cario.

If you search you will find what card I mentioned as being a better partner for Lucario.
Just like I mentioned a better partner for Machamp.

I also did mentioned what I considered the best card for Blissey too, it's in my reports.

But like always if any "foreigner" dares to suggest anything, it's never taken serious.

Oh, but you couldn't possibly mention it in this thread. We have to "search" for it.

SuperWooper, why don't you search, find it, then post it here if you care so much about it?

yea it may be possible that there r better pokemon to pare with Machamp and lucario. But the people who play Mario want to play with both at the same time. If you don't like to use them both together then don't plain and simple. Who cares if there r better pokemon matches out there if people want to play with machamp and lucario together. It's there lost not yours. IF you feel it better to play lucario with blissy then go right ahead. But don't put people down because they want to play Mario.

Yes, because this is about Mario, I try to make any comment about other decks/combi as short as possible.

I still can understand why Mario is a deck people like to play. Most of all during Autumn BR it made a good chance on top4. And I didn't complete the attendance/deck/winner topic yet (sorry no time) but Mario did top cut a lot of times.

I play Lucario as a partner for Blissey over Sableye because:

Lucario/ER2 gives more of an advantage vs other Blissey than Sableye does. Sableye is just a stall and idk about other people's but our lists are certainly equipped with enough stuff naturally to deal with Sableye and make it near ineffective. ER2 on the FF and hitting with Lucario X ohkos Blissey (after early spread), and you can redo this with TSD.

ER2 also doubles as an out vs Meganium d decks, which is Blissey's only real hard pre-dp3 matchup (at least that I've seen). Not that you really need it that much vs Lucario/Empoleon to beat it, but it IS another out vs that deck too.

The list we had was versatile enough to run about 7-8 slots of pps, buffers and ER2 (also, we still had the 2 strength charm) and still remain brutally consitent, and which of the 2 we ran was completely up to the metagame.

All that you guys keep saying OVER and OVER again is that Machamp isn't the best partner for Lucario. Now that may even be a valid point but for a MARIO deck *and I'm going to say this real slow for you* It-is-MAchamp-and-LucaRIO.

Hence the title of this thread.

You didn't run Cessation Crystal, then? If you did run Cessation, that seems hard to fit in, but if not it sounds convincing to me. :thumb: And Meganium d is GOOD vs Blissey, yes. We've had a player in Norway winning two straight Battle Roads with Meganium/Lucario.

Cessation wasn't a great play for BRs at all compared to some of the other tricks. PM me if you want me to explain my reasoning, as it's starting to get way off topic =P

Lucario/Meg d is another alternative that should run alot better too, simply because Meganium d is a setup Pokemon. You swarm and instantly have the next Lucario/Meg ready after one comes out, and you definitely don't need it that early - a turn 4-5-6 meg sets up for the late game too. Not to mention MT bayleef fetches evos and you don't slow down evolving through Bayleef since you don't need it right after Lucario dies. Also, the power thins your deck incredibly, and allows you to run less search, leading to more draw/consistency.

I like the Meganium d/Lucario idea. It wasn't viable for a while because of all the Ape, but now it is, and Empoleon Resistance. Which is why I ran Megachamp at BR also.

I'd just like to point out that no matter what Pokemon are in the deck, you can name the deck whatever. Love Letter has absolutely nothing to do with Blissey as people may think...sooo, yeah

Also u can spell Mario out of the names of the pokemon...... MAchamp LucaRIO so people call it Mario.... (I also love playing the game ^^)
