I'm not sure what you guys think but IMO meditite DR can be very useful against ampharos ex. As long as ampharos ex has at least 50 damage on it, use meditite's meditate, which does 10 damage plus 10 more for each damage counter on the defending pokemon. This means when ampharos has 50 damage on it, meditite will do (10+50)x2 =120 to ampharos ex, together with the 50 damage from before, ampharos ex would be knocked out. You can keep meditite in your hand until your opponent's amphy has at least 50, then just play it, attach an energy, use energy switch and look at your opponent's face when his/her ampharos ex falls. You can also do this to other high hp pokemon with enough damage counters on them to be koed by meditite in one hit.

I put meditite in my kingdra ex deck to counter amphy (the link on my signature below), what do you guys think?

its a [F][C] attack, so two turns... I don't really seeing it "dominate" amphy, because i usally don't let amphy's damage run up to the 60's/70's without potion/oraning it, and if i did see a meditite on the board, i would just send in my wobbuffet or just heal the amphy so i wouldn't get bombed by it. only effective way i see it workin is if you can attach two nrg to it on the turn u drop it.

I think this was the "plan" to get two energy on it in one turn:

oh lookie, energy switch is again giving decks great advantage. Maybe people are overlooking the card.....nah.

For decks that use kingdra, AQ kingdra can also transfer a water energy to meditite, without the help of energy switch. I think meditite can make a great surprise element in water decks. Besides, if your opponent starts with a lone mareep, meditite can 2HKO it even if mareep evolves into flaafy next turn (3HKO if rare candy's used but then ampharos ex would only have 2 energy by then). Of course meditite can't beat ampharos by itself, but it can give kingdra ex a chance and your opponent would think twice if they should switch their active amphy or not.

Meditite can also work well with Sceptile in the same way. Sceptile isn't weak to Amphy like Water but it could still use help against it.

I've been using Meditite for a week or two now. It's in my Cradily/Raichu ex deck. It's a very nice card, especially with Cradily, since I can let poison damage pile up then bring it out for a KO. Works well against Amphy, Aggron, Delcatty, Zangoose, and it's ok vs Wobbuffets, since they hurt themselves.

Meditite is ok if played right but I dont know if it can Easily beat Amphy as the title says. Right now I've got an idea about Meditite that can MAYBE, stop Amphy,Gardy,Dragons. I still working on it.

    Good idea! :)
I played an Amphy deck and i lost in about 5 mins against my Kingdra. Maybe this card is the answer? :pokeball:

Does anyone know what meditite's evolve form does? Is it out in Japan?

I looked at someone's deck idea and realized that AQ jynx is also as good as meditite. Jynx has the same meditate attack but it's a psychic type. That means if wobbuffet has at least 20 damage on it, jynx would be able to ko it.
