So, yeah, I was DQed in the Fan Fic contest (read PMs below to see why) but I think by me not posting the story will rob the PokeGym Community of one great story, enjoy.
Now I bring you Brock's Tale
Chapter 1: Encounter in the Viridian Forest
Many years ago a young man named Brock left his home and gym of Pewter City to fulfill his dreams of becoming a pokemon breeder. Today he is walking through the Viridian Forest to his home in Pewter City, after attending a party in Pallet Town that celebrated his best friend, Ash Ketchum’s, success in becoming a Pokemon Master and accepting Scott’s offer of becoming a Frontier Brain for the Battle Frontier. As he walks he thinks about what little he accomplished compared to his friends; Ash became a Pokemon Master and a Frontier Brain, Misty is now a member of the Kanto Elite Four and is engaged to Ash, May won several grand festivals and is now opening a school in her hometown of Petalburg City to teach how to be a good contest coordinator, and Max, though he may be young, he is an up and coming trainer that is making a name for himself by winning the Kanto and Johto Leagues. Brock also thinks about all the girls he was unable to get fall in love with him: the countless Nurse Joys and Officer Jennys, Daisy, Lily and Violet of Cerulean City, Pike Queen Lucy, and the one he almost got, Professor Ivy. After thinking of these things, he says to himself, “I am a failure”. Meanwhile in the bushes Team Rocket’s Jessie, James and Meowth are up to no good again. They figured of a new tactic to try and get Ash’s Pikachu, capture Ash’s friends and family and keep them as hostages so they can trade them for Pikachu. Brock is next on their list. Team Rocket jumps out of the bushes and startles Brock. Brock knows he won’t be able to fight them off since the only pokemon he has on him is his Sudowoodo and his newest pokemon, Vibrava. Faced with defeat he decides to run. As he runs through the forest he trips over a sleeping pokemon. This pokemon is the legendary time-traveling pokemon, Celebi. Celebi wakes up scared and confused and then it opens a portal to another time. Brock gets sucked into the portal. He emerges on the other side of the time portal and hit’s his head hard on the ground in front of a small house. Right before he passes out he sees a shadow of a young woman approach him.
Chapter 2: Brock Finds Love
Several hours later Brock wakes up in a bed in with a huge headache, a big bump on his head and memory loss from his encounter with Team Rocket. The young woman from before walks into the room and puts an ice pack on his head. Brock then asks her what happened and she tells him she was gardening, she heard a crash, turned around and saw him laying on the ground. She then tells him she took him into her house and put him on the bed in her spare room and called a doctor. Brock asked her what did the doctor say. She tells him the doctor said you will be find as long as you rest for a few days. Brock then asks to know her name, she tells him her name is Delia. Their eyes meet and it is love at first site. A few days later Brock finally has the strength to get out of bed and has dinner with Delia in the dining room. Delia brings out dinner for the two of them and a newspaper for Brock. Brock reads the cover of newspaper, it reads…

He then remembers that this date is about 9 months before his best friend Ash will be born. He then asks Delia what her last name is, she responds by saying “Ketchum”. He now thinks he is his best friend’s father since he knows he already crossed the line with Delia. He then decides he needs to find a Celebi so he can go back to his own time. Brock then makes up a lie and tells Delia that he wants to become a pokemon trainer and eventually the best pokemon master in the world. Delia then tells Brock that she understands and will wait for him. After dinner Brock tells Delia that he will be leaving at dawn. Brock then proceeds to his room to sleep. Delia stays up for several hours more preparing a gift for Brock, a new set of clothes for his journey. In the morning Brock awakes, prepares his belongings and silently heads towards the front door to avoid waking up Delia to avoid a painful goodbye, but to his surprise he finds Delia waiting at the front door. She gives him his new clothes, he goes back to the spare room he has been staying in, puts them on his new clothes and heads back to the front door. Delia says she has one more thing for Brock, her old bandana. This bandana is light blue with a dark blue letter D on it. She says “I want you to have this, when you look at it think of me”. He kisses her goodbye and walks out the front door.
Chapter 3: Finding A Way Home
He decides that the best way to find a Celebi is to ask Professor Oak for help because when Professor Oak was a child he had a Celebi as a friend. He goes to a phone booth and looks up Professor Oak in the phone book, and he is in luck because Professor Oak lives in at his lab during this time period. He heads on over to Oak’s lab and finds a younger Professor Oak moving some equipment into his lab. Professor Oak immediately recognizes Brock from his own time traveling adventure and asks him why he is here in this time. Brock explains how he got there but neglects to mention his relationship with Delia. Brock then asks Professor Oak if he knows where he can find a Celebi so he can get back to his own time. Professor Oak tells him to search the Viridian Forest for a Celebi and explains to him how he shouldn’t interact with any one from this time because it can have consequences on the future that he knows. Brock thanks Professor Oak and leaves. Four days later Brock arrives in Viridian City, he decides he wants to call Delia one more time before he returns to when he belongs. He arrives at the newly build Viridian City Pokemon Center and calls Delia. On the phone he tells her about his uneventful four day trip to Viridian City. The next morning he leaves Viridian City and walks into Viridian Forest to try to find a Celebi. After about a week of searching he finds one, but this one is laying on the floor sick. He tries to make it feel better with the small amount of pokemon medicine he has left. After trying everything he could, he determines he needs to get Celebi to a Pokemon Center right away. Brock looks at his map and determines that the Pokemon Center in his home town of Pewter City is the closest one. He runs out of the forest and finds him self standing on top of a rock overlooking Pewter City. He looks over to a small set of rocks to the right of him, he sees a little boy playing with a few small rocks as his parents look on. He recognizes all three of them: his father, Flint; his mother, Mizuho; and himself has a child. He remembers what Professor Oak said to him about not interacting and sets off for the Pokemon Center with the sick Celebi in his arms. He arrives at the Pewter City Pokemon Center and gives Celebi to Nurse Joy. After several hours of waiting Nurse Joy comes into the waiting room and tells Brock that after a good nights rest, Celebi will be ok. The next morning Brock waits in Celebi’s room for it to awake. Celebi awakes and sees Brock. Brock then explains how he doesn’t belong in this time. Celebi understands and uses telepathy to talk to Brock. Celebi tells Brock to change into clothes from his own time, Brock complies and changes. Celebi then explains to Brock that it needs to erase all memories of him from the minds of everyone who Brock interacted with to prevent damage to the timeline. Celebi then opens 3 time portals. In one portal Brock sees the Nurse Joy of Pewter City, in another one he sees Professor Oak, and in the last one he sees his love, Delia. Celebi uses its psychic powers and erases Brock from the three individual’s memories. Little did Brock and Celebi know, Delia actually retained some of her memories of Brock; she remembers that she cared for an injured person, fell in love and her love set out on a Pokemon journey with her bandana. The only thing she forgot was the name and face of her love. Celebi then opens a time portal for Brock that will take him back to the exact time from when he left. Brock gets sucked into the portal, he emerges on the other side of the portal and hit’s his head hard on the ground in front of Team Rocket. Right before he passes out he sees the shadows of Jessie, James and Meowth approach him and hears them laughing evilly.
Chapter 4: Capture and Rescue
Brock wakes up to someone caring for his head injury, he says “Delia is that you?”. He gets a response “That is Ms. Ketchum to you young man”. He immediately sits up and sees he is in a cage that is being carried by Team Rocket’s balloon with Delia, both Professor Oaks (Samuel and Gary), Misty, May, Max and Tracy. Misty walks over to Brock and explains what Team Rocket’s plan is, she also tells him when Team Rocket captured her she was on the phone with Ash, and tells him she knows that Ash will not rest until they are safe. The eight of them then try to come up with a plan of escape. As they are talking Brock realizes that Team Rocket forgot to take his Pokemon. Professor Oak says it is best that we wait to use them, even if we escape now there is no place to go but down, everyone else agrees. Several hours later the balloon travels close to a cliff. As the balloon passes a voice is heard from the cliff, this voice says, “Team Rocket! Let them go!” Everyone in the cage looks over and gasps “Its Ash!” They also see that he hasn’t came alone, with him is Lance, Champion of the Kanto/Johto Elite Four and Steven, Champion of the Hounn Elite Four. Ash then says “Team Rocket, let them go now, this is your last warning. ” Team Rocket laughs at him and tells him that they will trade his friends and mother for Pikachu. Misty then yells from the cage, “Ash don‘t negotiate with them”. Ash looks at Lance and Steven and nod, they nod back at him. Ash throws a poke ball and calls out his Charizard. Ash and Pikachu then jump on Charizard’s back and Ash has Charizard fly circles around the balloon to intimidate Team Rocket. Lance throws two poke balls and calls out his two Dragonite and has them join Charizard in circling the balloon. Ash then decides to use Pikachu to distract Team Rocket while he rescues his friends and mother. Ash has Charizard fly quickly towards the balloon basket and has Pikachu jump in. While in the balloon basket, Pikachu jumps around confusing Team Rocket, who are now arguing with each other while trying to catch Pikachu. Meanwhile Ash has Charizard fly down to the cage, but Ash knows that any one of Charizard attacks could hurt anyone inside the cage. Brock comes up with an idea, he call out his Sudowoodo, he tells Ash to have Charizard use a flamethrower towards the sky. Ash does has Brock says, and Brock has his Sudowoodo use mimic, Sudowoodo mimics the flamethrower and blows a hole in the cage. Brock recalls Sudowoodo and thanks it for a job well done. Lance then orders his Dragonites to go to the cage to make sure everyone gets to the ground safely. Brock waits near the hole and helps the others out of the cage. Ash flies up on Charizard and picks up Misty. Then Lance’s Dragonites come up to the cage and gets the Professor Oaks. Meanwhile in the balloon basket Pikachu continues to distract Team Rocket until Jessie gets a hold of Pikachu’s tail, Pikachu then accidentally unleashes a thunder bolt which causes the balloon to shake which in effect causes May, Max and Tracy to fall out of the cage. Steven sees this and quickly responds by calling out his Metagross from its poke ball. Steven has his Metagross use psychic to save May, Max, and Tracy. Meanwhile Ash yells out to Pikachu, “Get the poke balls they have taken from our friends”. Pikachu does as Ash says, gets the poke balls and jumps from the balloon basket and lands in Misty’s arms. Team Rocket stops their arguing and realize that the only people who remain in the cage is Brock and Delia so they decided to activate the rocket propulsion system they have in their balloon. Holding on for dear life Brock then calls out his Vibrava and tells it to take Delia to safety. Brock then speaks to Delia “Delia my love, go now, Vibrava will take you to safety”. Delia responds “Brock why are you talking to me like this”. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out her bandana and says “Here Delia, look at this try and remember me. I was accidentally transported to the year 1986, we fell in love, but I knew I didn’t belong in your time so I left. Do you have any memory of me“. Delia responded “As soon as I saw my bandana my memory came back to me.” Brock then says “Go, now, please, get to safety. ” She kisses him, grabs on to Vibrava and gets to safety. Now everyone Team Rocket has captured is safely on the ground except Brock. Ash jumps back on Charizard to get ready to catch up to Team Rocket and get Brock. Little did anyone know, that Pikachu’s earlier thunder bolt caused damage to the balloon’s burner, so much damage it exploded. They all watch in disbelief has the burner explodes and Team Rocket blast off in one direction and Brock in the another direction.
Chapter 5: The Hospital and The Truth
Ash flies ahead of everyone to get Brock, he tells the gang he will take Brock to a hospital. Ash finds Brock and luckily sees that he conveniently landed on a Snorlax so he thinks the injuries won’t be as severe. He looks behind him and sees that Steven sent Metagross ahead to help with Brock. Ash has Metagross use psychic to carefully move Brock to prevent further injury. A few hours later everyone catches up to Ash at the hospital. As soon as everyone walks into the waiting room a doctor comes with an update. The doctor says “Brock has several injuries that include scrapes, cuts, bruises, broken bones, and minor burns. These injures are easily treatable however he does have a more serious injury. We don’t know how but somehow his kidneys are failing, they need to be removed and he needs at least one replacement. I hate to be the bearer of more bad news but we got his blood work back, he has a very rare blood type. It is in his best interest to find a willing donor with in his family and test them to see if he or she is compatible.” Delia then asks Ash, “If you could would you give a kidney to Brock.” Ash responds and he quickly says “In a heartbeat.” Delia then tells them about Brock’s trip through time and she thinks Brock may be Ash’s father. She asks for a DNA test to be done to see if Brock is Ash’s father and a blood test to be done to see if Ash is a compatible donor. About an hour later the two tests come back. The doctor says “Brock is the father of Ash Ketchum and Ash is a compatible donor for kidney transplant, it is in Brock’s best interest to begin surgery right away.” The doctor takes Ash to a hospital room so he can be prepped for surgery. A few hours later a surgeon comes out and tells everybody “The surgery was a complete success and that Ash and Brock will need a good nights rest and they can have a few visitors in the morning. The next morning Brock is awakened by a hand stroking his hair. It is Delia. Brock decides right there on the spot to propose to her. She accepts.
Chapter 6: Success and Happiness
A few weeks later Brock is released from the hospital and Professor S. Oak offers a job to Brock to work at the lab. Brock figures that working at Oak’s lab could lead to greater accomplishments so he accepts. A few more weeks later Professor Oak is too busy to make his scheduled appearance on DJ Mary’s Radio Show so he ask Brock to fill in. During this episode of DJ Mary’s Radio Show the owner of Pokemon Trainer Magazine was listening in and was amazed with Brock’s knowledge of Pokemon Breeding. He decides to contact Brock and offer him a job to write an article about breeding each month for his magazine. Brock’s first article was a big success and got a lot of positive feedback. Brock finally has accomplished his dream of becoming a great breeder. A few months later, 2 weddings takes place on back to back days; the wedding of Misty and Ash and the wedding of Brock and Delia. Ever since Ash and Brock found out that Brock was Ash’s father their relationship has not changed in a bad way, their relationship has only gotten stronger. Today Ash and Misty live at the Indigo Plateau where Misty continues to be a part of the Kanto Elite Four and where Ash has opened up his own Battle Facility for the Battle Frontier, The Battle Field. They are expecting their first child, a boy, which they will name Brock. On the other hand Brock and Delia live in Pallet Town where Brock still works for Professor Oak in his lab and writes an article each month about pokemon breeding for Pokemon Trainer Magazine. And they lived happily ever after.

Team Rocket stops their arguing and realize that the only people who remain in the cage is Brock and Delia so they decided to activate the rocket propulsion system they have in their balloon. Holding on for dear life Brock then calls out his Vibrava and tells it to take Delia to safety. Brock then speaks to Delia “Delia my love, go now, Vibrava will take you to safety”. Delia responds “Brock why are you talking to me like this”. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out her bandana and says “Here Delia, look at this try and remember me. I was accidentally transported to the year 1986, we fell in love, but I knew I didn’t belong in your time so I left. Do you have any memory of me“. Delia responded “As soon as I saw my bandana my memory came back to me.” Brock then says “Go, now, please, get to safety. ” She kisses him, grabs on to Vibrava and gets to safety. Now everyone Team Rocket has captured is safely on the ground except Brock. Ash jumps back on Charizard to get ready to catch up to Team Rocket and get Brock. Little did anyone know, that Pikachu’s earlier thunder bolt caused damage to the balloon’s burner, so much damage it exploded. They all watch in disbelief has the burner explodes and Team Rocket blast off in one direction and Brock in the another direction.
Chapter 5: The Hospital and The Truth
Ash flies ahead of everyone to get Brock, he tells the gang he will take Brock to a hospital. Ash finds Brock and luckily sees that he conveniently landed on a Snorlax so he thinks the injuries won’t be as severe. He looks behind him and sees that Steven sent Metagross ahead to help with Brock. Ash has Metagross use psychic to carefully move Brock to prevent further injury. A few hours later everyone catches up to Ash at the hospital. As soon as everyone walks into the waiting room a doctor comes with an update. The doctor says “Brock has several injuries that include scrapes, cuts, bruises, broken bones, and minor burns. These injures are easily treatable however he does have a more serious injury. We don’t know how but somehow his kidneys are failing, they need to be removed and he needs at least one replacement. I hate to be the bearer of more bad news but we got his blood work back, he has a very rare blood type. It is in his best interest to find a willing donor with in his family and test them to see if he or she is compatible.” Delia then asks Ash, “If you could would you give a kidney to Brock.” Ash responds and he quickly says “In a heartbeat.” Delia then tells them about Brock’s trip through time and she thinks Brock may be Ash’s father. She asks for a DNA test to be done to see if Brock is Ash’s father and a blood test to be done to see if Ash is a compatible donor. About an hour later the two tests come back. The doctor says “Brock is the father of Ash Ketchum and Ash is a compatible donor for kidney transplant, it is in Brock’s best interest to begin surgery right away.” The doctor takes Ash to a hospital room so he can be prepped for surgery. A few hours later a surgeon comes out and tells everybody “The surgery was a complete success and that Ash and Brock will need a good nights rest and they can have a few visitors in the morning. The next morning Brock is awakened by a hand stroking his hair. It is Delia. Brock decides right there on the spot to propose to her. She accepts.
Chapter 6: Success and Happiness
A few weeks later Brock is released from the hospital and Professor S. Oak offers a job to Brock to work at the lab. Brock figures that working at Oak’s lab could lead to greater accomplishments so he accepts. A few more weeks later Professor Oak is too busy to make his scheduled appearance on DJ Mary’s Radio Show so he ask Brock to fill in. During this episode of DJ Mary’s Radio Show the owner of Pokemon Trainer Magazine was listening in and was amazed with Brock’s knowledge of Pokemon Breeding. He decides to contact Brock and offer him a job to write an article about breeding each month for his magazine. Brock’s first article was a big success and got a lot of positive feedback. Brock finally has accomplished his dream of becoming a great breeder. A few months later, 2 weddings takes place on back to back days; the wedding of Misty and Ash and the wedding of Brock and Delia. Ever since Ash and Brock found out that Brock was Ash’s father their relationship has not changed in a bad way, their relationship has only gotten stronger. Today Ash and Misty live at the Indigo Plateau where Misty continues to be a part of the Kanto Elite Four and where Ash has opened up his own Battle Facility for the Battle Frontier, The Battle Field. They are expecting their first child, a boy, which they will name Brock. On the other hand Brock and Delia live in Pallet Town where Brock still works for Professor Oak in his lab and writes an article each month about pokemon breeding for Pokemon Trainer Magazine. And they lived happily ever after.
