I made it to the nationals once. It was in China. I had some fun and everything. What ai really want to tell you is my first and most challenging battle.

I entered the room. It was small and there was a lot of tension. About 2 judges were at the table just looking over it. When I first saw my opponents deck, I was startled. It was the size of a Burger-King Super-Sized cup!

Maybe, 5 minutes later we got called to the table by the judges. He selected 60 cards out of his deck and so did I. He then, handed me his deck and I hand him mine. I gave it a simple cut about twice and then, gave it back to him. We shook hands you know the usual.

I layed out my bench and my hand quickly, but he was taking his time. 5 minutes later the match begun. We used the coin. I called heads and I won so it was my turn. The Pokémon I was using now was Tepig. I put in an energy and casted a normal tackle. The opponents pokemon was a torchic. He put a damage counter on his torchic and used peck. I put my damage counter on and we continued.

I put in 2 energy's and used Rollout. He put his damage counters on and used Fireworks. He was winning now. By 10 Hit Points. I then realized that I had a Pignite in my bench. I only had 1 energy though in my bench. If I wasted it then what would I do? I had no choice though(In my mind). I put in the energy and evolved.

That's it! Sorry I couldn't finish it! It's late now and I have to go to sleep! Bye!

That sounds interesting for a first time battle. I'm hoping you put the 2 energies on in separate turns of course. I'm glad you had a good time. A lot of people really feel pumped about pokemon after their first big event. Good for you.

However if I could make a suggestion, this part of the forum is for Video game championships - not the card game. Perhaps we can have a moderator move it to the proper part of the forums for you. Good try though for your first post. Keep working on it when you have the time, and I'm sure you'll be a pro in no time. Good luck.
