Ok, for a while now I have been wanting a trainer card that would allow me to switch evolutions on the fly.... Discarding or returning the top evolution to your hand, and replacing it with another. Since most basics and stage 1's have multiple evos, this would be a fun combo. Stuff like Wobbeffett would live in fear of this card, being able to switch from an EX to a non EX.

Well, this can be sorta done, but not quite to the same degree, its a 2-card combo as of now. Basic to stage 1's can use Retro Energy/Undersea Ruins and Rare candy or Wally's training, while Stage 1's-2's can use those plus Wally (Rare Candy only working when played on basics)

Its not the best combo ever, and requires a little to pull off, but nifty none the less. This works great for Pokemon like Eevee with its Multiple Eevo's. It works well in decks where you have both the EX and the non EX in the deck, and a great counter for a Wobbuffett.

An Eevee deck in the deck forum helped me see this combo, its kind of a cool idea, if you can fit it, or run a deck like one of these.

Okay??? So this is either off the wall, crazy or stupid.. 50+ veiws, no-one has any thoughts on it..... I think it is a nice combo, though it isnt exactly one you can fit into any deck, a deck built around it could be fun and usefull....

and it gives you a reason to play lure ball.....

    hey spec.....

i think that's a nifty idea, but to play all of that, it would be easier just to set up a new line on the bench.....

i don't know, in a pinch i guess it would be a great combo, but all in all, i don't know

If you plan on using Rare Candy/Wally anyways, it isnt that much more really.. a Stadium or 2, and a couple of Retro Energy... Lure Ball is optional, since TV does a nice job and will be used anyways...

Not all decks can find up to 4 card slots, but alot can... like I said, it isnt the greatest combo, and it doesnt fit in every deck, but it is extremely usefull

Evo EX vs Wobby- Devolve, evolve to non EX... no building it on the bench, paying retreat or wasting Switch, and its already powered with Energy....

With Eeveelotion vs Psy decks... Stall with Umbreon, switch Eevos for Espeon and go for KO...

Anything with 2 awsome evolutions... well, this is a toughy, use one, or switch it to the other

And this allows a quick solution to some problems, and elims status too... No rubuilding, no paying retreat, and you get an already powered Poke, no waiting involved....

With most of the decks that run any ex's, they have built-in redundancies that make it very easy for them to switch out at any time. Gex has Gardy, which is usually out first. Rex has Blaze, which is usually out first. The only Pokemon that i can really see benefiting from this would be Kingdra, and even then not so much. Even Wailord has those redundancies with Aggron.

Hey Bullados. Just to let you know. I've actually found that combo very usuful. I actually designed a deck around Eevee and have now edited my deck to use that combo. It can be verys useful. Think of it this way- your opponent has a psychic pokemon out with a weakness to psychic and you have an Umbreon as your active pokemon. Your opponent also has another pokemon on the bench. both of them have 2 energy. You de-evolve Umbreon with Retro energy and then evolve into Espeon(SS) with three energy. You whoop them for double damage. If that isn't a good combo then I don't know what is. I could work in many different ways with an Eevee-lution deck because of the different evo's. It might work for other things but maybe not so effective as in an Eevee deck. But still an interesting idea.

I think the combo could be more than Nifty. I see plenty of decks that could bend this to their will, such as Gardevoir/ex and the soon to be released Blaziken/ex deck!

This would be extremely difficult to pull off without altering your deck severly. Looks like its back to the drawing board.

It wouldnt alter a deck by much to use it, maybe 4-8 cards max, it isnt for every deck, and you can specifically build the deck to work around this. It isnt a bad idea, it isnt a great idea, its more of a fun idea... and it can and does work... After testing, Wally works much better, even for a stage 1 deck, since it searches for the card and puts it into play. My fave for it is easily Umbreon Espeon... it goes from an early game stall against Psychic, and into a Psychic killing machine...

and who is Jimmy??? this was my idea...
