New Info - 5th Generation Pokemon games : Pokemon Black and Pokemon White

What about the idea of the games having two seporate "sides" cartridge wise- like one is a "hero" version, and the other is the "villian" version. The story lines can be opposite for each side. The games could be a "format" that could make for you to be able to "rise in rank" in the storymode, and if you battled a person who is say the hero, you are the villian, you gain or lose rank in the game. And if you do a link battle with a friend, the same applies to your rank. The games should have areas that will "change" via a wifi download that will keep certain parts of the game "new".
Also, if the outworld is "3d" and indoors is 2d, the battles should be full 360' pan view when you have a linked battle.
And for the hero and villian idea- a villian goes in to a gym to take it over, while a hero would have to reclaim the gym from the villian. And like certain pokies can learn certain moves specific to the nature of the villian or hero- but will lose the move if it is traded to the opposite side of the story.

The screens for the game are pretty good. I'm rather intrigued with the 3D in the game. It's kinda cool how they are doing the graphics for this game and it looks like the battles will be different. I'm guessing these games won't be compatible with the other games or it will be like the time capsule thing for G/S.

I'm kinda dissapointed in the titles but I'm still looking forward to the new game none the less. Wish they could've named them after jewels or metals like they've done for Gen 3 & 4.

Electric doesn't do anything to ground is the problem, could be rock... but what I think would be better would be a Dark, Fighting,Psychic triangle.

Well this confirms that the Nintendo 3DS will not have gamecube quality graphics, they'll use the excuse for the Wii that "graphics don't matter" and that with 3D they are bringing a new way to play games. The games will be compatible with the 3DS the same way that Gold/Silver added color if played on the GBC while not being GBC exclusives.

Besides being disappointed on what the 3DS will be I love the names, going back to colors is awesome and nostalgic in a way. D/P weren't great names, they lacked something.

This is for the CURRENT DS, not 3DS.

Would anyone honestly be foolish enough to use a ineffective attack against a specific Pokemon? There are other alternatives that you can knock out a type that your weak against. For example, if you had a Psychic type Pokemon, but couldn't hit the dark type Pokemon. What do you do? Switch it out for a fighting Pokemon to take its place. Problems solved. Having a Fighting-Psychic-Dark types would be an interesting triangle.

As we all know Black & White will be the first games in the 5th generation. Recently the official site as added 6 new pictures of the game. One picture shows a redesigned Pokemon Center that appears to have a Pokemart built in. As of yet nothing else official has been posted on the site.

IMHO Story has improved from older games to DPP. I'm hoping to see more of the same here, but I wouldn't hold my breath about them scrapping the basic "challenge the gym leaders & e4" bit.

OMG how about some good trainers... i think having a battle against a level 25 rattata pokemon is stupid....
or making wild pokemon evolve... example, i shouldnt be able to fish a level 50 magikarp!

Or a pokemart that sells ALL tms, that way i dont have to trade shiney pokemon for duplicate water pulse
