"The Game" located inside Heritage Park Mall in Midwest City is having league times on Saturdays between 10 am & noon. This is a free event. No paying anything to watch, to trade or to play. "The Game's" phone number is 405-737-2324, and the website is www.shopthegame.com. The mall's address is 6713 E. Reno. That's at the corner of Reno & Air Depot. About 2 miles North of Tinker Field.
For league any Pokemon cards are legal to play so if you have one of those "old" decks just bring it on & try it out against the newer stuff.
Sanctioned tournaments will start on Saturday, June 5th at 1 pm. This will be a modified format tournament. (That's cards from the E-series on, and promos released by Nintendo.)
The entry fee for the tournament is $3 & unlike other places, it is 100% payback.
For 1-7 players the top 2 get paid. For 8-14 players the top 4 get paid & 15 or more players the top 8 get paid.
If you don't have a POP ID number that's no problem as they are free when you enter.
As the tournament grows it will be considered to have a Friday evening tournament. Also as it grows there will be unlimted & limited tournaments as well.
Of course the above league & tournament will not be held when there is a premiere level event being held either in the store or the mall. Examples of this is the Oklahoma Gym Challenge on May 29th & the Hidden Legends Pre-release on June 12th. There will be more as well.
