We are looking forward to a fantastic turnout at this event! The store owners are very excited to be hosting their first State tournament as the new owners of the store. They will have pizza for sale and plenty of drinks and goodies.
There will be lots of raffles too, for all of you who enjoy that part of the day!
It is time for the Pokemon State Championships!!!!!
Some Basics:
FUN!! This is rule number one. Even with the pressure and excitement of the day, please have fun. When asked to listen to announcements, please respect the judges, and staff that are relaying information, and other players and do so quietly! If you have any questions throughout the day, please raise your hand and ask!!
Decklist: You need to have a completed 60 Card Decklist. No more than 4 types of any Pokemon, trainers, supporters, stadiums, or special energies. You are allowed to have greater than 4 types of basic energy. Your deck and decklist are YOUR responsibility. Do not forget the set name and card collector number for the pokemon. Level X. A Pokemon Level X is considered to be the same as the Pokemon it is leveled up upon. For instance, you CANNOT have 4 Gardevoir PK and 4 Gardevoir Level X. You can have 2 of each type though. Pokemon "ex" are different cards, so you could have 2 Gardevoir Power Keepers, 2 Gardevoir Level X, and 4 Gardevoir ex delta from Dragon frontiers.
Damage Counters/Dice and Status Condition markers. Each player is to bring their own damage counters/dice and status condition markers (burned, poisoned). We will not be providing them.
Sleeves. Only approved sleeves are allowed. It is your choice whether you use sleeves or not.
Game State: During a match, please ensure a judge can glance at the match in play and easily determine the state of the game. Discard supporters at the end of your turn, ensure energies attached to a Pokemon are visible, when asleep, paralyzed, or confused, the pokemon must be rotated to the proper position.

I asked Tom Shea this morning about the status of the Tournaments on 3/1 related to the weather predictions of a snowstorm tonight into tomorrow.
His response is
"The NH and RI tournaments will run tomorrow 3/1!!!" We'll weather the storm for Pokemon State Championship tournaments! Travel Safe! Leave Early so you can drive a safe speed! Do not tailgate!
