Ninikn Vs. Kingdra

I would love to see a Ninekin deck run into the WailordEX/Fossil deck trampling through our gym...

101 reasons not to play it....the really, really big fish.

Ninekin has NOTHING that will take out the whale, either does Blaziken.

The strength of this deck is also its achilles heel.

Whereas a KingdraEX player can only retreat to the bench, Wailord EX heals on his way back.

That is why Ninekin will not survive nationals, and frankly, even states at this point.

This deck has a short window of life, and I think the big Aqua pokes will not help a bit.

Niniken is alot easier to get fully out and working, but BAR involves less trainers to keep the mega-damage going. I mean with BAR, you don't have to retreat to bring out a fully powered discarder, you just move the energy up to the discarder. But also, you don't need electric energy on ninetails to attack which IMO is one of the biggest weaknesses of BAR. A simple water-discard deck could logically beat BAR because you keep removing the L energy and then rayquaza cannot attack, so they attack with blaziken, so you hit it with water.

Meganium, I have to disagree. Rayquaza only has to discard 5 energy to OHKO wailord, which is very simple when the only offense you have for the first few turns is fossils. And then, a simple wobbuffet will stop wailord aswell. Niniken on the other hand has to discard 9 energy on ninetails to OHKO wailord which is really alot.

Umm how does Niniken have nothing vs Wailord? Blaze pwns the fossils, and Tales can OHKO anything, so I don't get ur post, Niniken will not do damage to Wailord, it will OHKO it, the 4 turns u take to power it up will give Niniken the advantage, plus the extra mulligan cards u give it, and in 8 turns for a second wailord, ull have lost most of ur fossils, and have nothing to hide behind.

Hey Mudkip and Meganium. Instead of fighting with words, why don't you duke it out over apprentice or AIM? It'd solve things a lot easier. Play best two of three and tell us who wins, because this discussion isn't getting anywhere.

I'm up for a MSN/AIM/Apprentice battle ANYTIME, so you name it MEGS45, or any other player who thinks Wailord stands a chance vs BAR or Niniken.

Yeah, but Kingdra EX doesn't need to retreat. I use my benched Aquapolis Kingdra's power to move the energy to the bench, Pokemon Nurse, move the energy back and attack.

you know what would be sweet, a 2 on 2 battle. BAR and Ninken team up to fight the evils of WaliordEX and :D :D kingdraEX

go :fire:

ROFL, Kingdra would be the one to give problems, but then again both of them can KO any Kingdra easily, Wailord + Nurse + fossils is not in any way a highly competitive deck, plus in that matchup, the BAR player can always have a Ray powered in th ebench ready to ko Wailord when it does come up, and Tales can handle Kingdra so ya go fire!

You have to admit, it's still a tougher matchup than most for blazi/ninetales. Besides, wailord boost can get very annoying after a while against blaziken. The thing is, I haven't tested the matchup, but if the guy gets up all of his kingdras I don't see the blaziken player winning, not with the cards he needs to get out to beat it.

Oh, and your opinion is only as good as the facts that back it up =)

Facts that back me up:

I beat 2 Kingdra ex decks with Niniken in the CC here in Mexico, one of them in the Top 2, and as i said, only Kingdra will win if it swarms, but then it will lose to everything else, if it doesn't swarm, it doesn't match the speed of Niniken.

I know it loses to every other deck, and I know Niniken is awesome even though I've never played against one. I just wanted to know which deck would win most consistently in a head-to-head matchup.
