Nymble (PAL #019) vs Claydol (FUS #145)

What happens if Nymble hits a heads on Slight Splash on the turn A, and on subsequent turn B, Claydol uses Rapid Spin?

Since it mentions "Your opponent switches their active pokemon", I'm assuming that Nymble is still affected? as the effect is not acting on Nymble itself, much like Avery vs Klefki?

The opposite, actually.
Since the attack gives the choice of which Pokemon to bring up, that means that the effect is pushing the Active Nymble to the bench and since the Active is now empty, the opponent gets to choose which Pokemon to bring up.
Since the effect is to push away the active, Nymble is immune to the effect.
