After playing both 3 figure and 6 figure (with 3 trainer cards) games I now want to see how "advanced play" works. Which the only different part so far is that as many different trainer cards can be used but the player has only so many points. How many points are there in a game, and are there any rules to how many different cards you can have?

Well as you can see on the trainer card there are three circles those are the points.
A advanced game plays with three points so you wont just have three cards, btu you can have as many as you want as long as you only use up three points in the whole game...
Plus poisoning and other effects come into play..

There isn't a rule on how many points worth of cards you can use. (That is designed for competitive play.) The standard rule is 3 Trainer cards.

Really? I was under the impression that it was the opposite; you can have as many cards as you want but they can't total more than 3 points.

    Page 5, Trainer cards:
At the beginning of the game, put your 3 Trainer cards face-up in front of you.

    Quick Start:
In the standard rules, each player has 3 Trainer cards (duplicates are allowed). In competitive play, each player has a number of points to spend on Trainer cards. A Trainer card with a full circle is worth 100 points. A Trainer card with a half-circle is worth 50 points.

    So I can use...

    a. ONLY 3
    b. As many totaling 3 circles
    c. 3 totaling 3 circles
    OR
    d. As many as I want (ex. 20) as long as i only use 3 circles worth in-game

    Please LMK, thx.

Right now the rulebook only states three.

There is no specification in "points'" yet, maybe when there is official play or more expansions. Its easy to go ahead and use 300 points since trainer cards have space for three circles.

Advanced rules are 50 points per half circle, 300 points total. Am I the only person that did the figure anatomy?
