Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Ontario Provincial Championships Info

Oh, I know but, I still hope the dominant metagame still stays consistant letting no SD's in. I say this because it is easier that way so I don't have to worry but, knowing you I think you could make a mega SD.

 hope you like

what metagame. I just seen a bunch of people playing GG with the winners being the ones who got up first. bottom line what will make this tourney good is you aren't going to see what people bring to states until it's too late

What are you talking about? G&G is still gonna see play at Provincials.

Even if everyone runs Mawiles and/or Unown G in their decks, G&G still got.... some good match ups.... maybe?

There will be a lot of G&G still, but I'm not sure if it will be good enough to win. I suspect because of its popularity during CC's that people will have counters to it in their deck (like mawile/unown G/Holon WP in water decks). I'm quite excited to see what decks others come up with though

Barrie= Rogue decks on the Pre=Provincials
Georgetown= Archtypes on the Provincials

G&G will do great at Provincials and if the set isn't so good, G&G will plow through all of the new cards (G&G will only get better each set).

Here is how cards go against G&G:

Holon Energy WP = Energy Removal 2
Unown G = Pachirisu/Windstorm
Crystal Beach = Stadium/Windstorm
Cessation Crystal = Windstorm/Pachirisu
Mawile = a good attacker (oh, so you minus 20 damage off of Gallade:lol:)

G&G has an answer for everything so, yeah, it could still be the play for Provincials

So I guess now we know what he's playing! Ha ha. Yeah, you'll probably see a bit of rogue decks in the pre-provincials, but if one does supremely, you can bet people will jump on the bandwagon for provincials too.

How about you put your money where your mouth is. This calls for a dare. Since pre-provincials isn't worth anything for points how about you play your G&G because it's that much better with the new set out.

oh yeah

Holon Energy WP = Energy Removal 2
has a 50% of working
Ex. they run four you run four, you'll average only 2 IF you run four yourself and with you're luck with that card you'll roll none

Unown G = Pachirisu/Windstorm
they're smarter than to put it on their starter and Pach can't take if from your opponents hand since it's a pokemon not a tool

Crystal Beach = Stadium/Windstorm
a elite player would know better to play more than one stadiums & tools at the same time

Cessation Crystal = Windstorm/Pachirisu
How many windstorms do you have?

Mawile = a good attacker (oh, so you minus 20 damage off of Gallade:lol:)
Mawile vs stantler start? Mawile will flip more than just 20 damage

Ok, Geneses are you coming up??? As I said before I probably WON'T my G&G deck. I want to do something different (I will take your challenge Geneses, come down to Barrie:lol: I will defeat you)

With his luck (at least against me) he'll hit all of them.

and Zach, if you need to use a Pachirisu to remove a tool you're asking your opponent to take a free prize as i'm sure they'll be able to hit for 70 (or 50 in a fighting deck), and its a waste of your attack for the turn (Unless ur opponent is playing water... of course). I agree with Geneses though, play G&G (or Power-ADE as you call it) at Barrie and see if its good enough to hold up still

Oh, I will get those ER2 flips because...because...Geneses just got CURSED:lol:!!!!!!!!! I think Power-ADE could stand up to the new set, not much has changed. I stick with my saying, play G&G or -_- but, the new set is sort of dissapointing.

I agree that this set is somewhat dissipointing. None of the LvX's stand out as being that good. Dialga & Palkia are just terrible. I was really looking forward to fossil's & eeveelutions, and garchomp lvX... oh well

All of the Lv.X's are comin out in tins (except Cresselia). The set is a Tech set w/ no new decks because it is to risky to play the new cards.

Some of you obviously don't know that new deck designs and tech cards win the events past Cities. If you think everything is going to be the same as Cities and Battle Roads, you're in for a rude awakening.

but, the new set is sort of dissapointing.

May not be as good as Secret Wonders, but it's A LOT better than DP1. Great Encounters has TOO MANY good cards that i say is one of the best DP sets to come up thus far. This set creates better builds for many previous made decks or the connection some decks needed before to work now. When secret wonders came out, what happen to Blissey? It wasn't manning up to when it was so big at battle roads. Why were you 0- X during battle roads and then being number one player in Ontario after cities? all because of one set. With Great Encounters it's the same thing, and if you're not ready for than you'll be back to your battle road record.

20 bucks for a Darkrai? sign me up. Have you ever played risk? the smallest army can still take over the world. It's the kind of risk I'm willing take.

States/Provincials/Regionals are nothing compared to Cities, Cities don't even come close. There's no such thing as the right preparation for these things BUT with the right techs in a new built deck will win

The Ontario Provincial Championship on March 1 will be the most competitive tournament ever played in this part of the world. We have so many excellent Pokemon players, who are also creative deck builders, that I could quickly name 10 players who have the potential to win. The play testing in Oakville over the next 3 Sundays will be almost as exciting as the tournament itself!

I opened a box of GE on Sunday night and I only found 2 cards that were good enough to go in to my decks. I also built a couple of Darkrai decks just for fun.

If you are interested in some heavy trading and intense playing as you prepare for the Provincials I will see you this Sunday.

I know the new set is good but, I don't think it will change everything. I won't say what I think is good because that will blurt out my new deck. Geneses, you didn't answer my question, are you comin??? Paul, I can't make it.

Oh Paul, say it ain't so! You are coming up for the 24th aren't you?

Darkrai... you know i hate that card because of you...

2 cards you say? i bet one of them and i know i'm not gonna like it...

BTW me and my shadows have been playing all week to bring something to league on Sunday see you there!

I'll come only if you're up for my dare

Bring G&G then and we will see. The best time for rogues is the first time it's played. It's about time somebody shook our game up.
