Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Personal Petition: WoW Safety

Second that. WOW is bad for everyone health. Pokemon is more socialable than WOW. Remember, I had a friend died from playing too much WOW.
Starvation, dehydration, or lack of sunlight and human contact? Yeah, Guild Wars is actually much better than WoW (at least that's my opinion). And, because I don't have to pay to play it, I don't have to devote myself to it, allowing me much more time for other things, such as school, friends, family, forums, other games, and my personal favorite, just sitting and doing nothing.

whats with all the WoW hate?

It's not the game, it's the player. If they're not responsible enbough to look after their own health then they quite frankly shouldn't play. However, if you take it in moderation and play the game properly you shouldn't have a problem.

No, it really is the game.

It's a mass-marketed game that appeals to the lowest common denominator of player by in general being too easy, being too much about grinding, and not making players learn to work together effectively, when working in groups is part of the appeal of MMOs. It might be better than Ragnarok Online, but it's still crap.

I enjoy the PvP side of it more than PvE. Working together in arenas is a lot of fun, and premade battleground groups are a lot of fun too.

Thats if players take the easy option. I personally only get on to raid or be in a group environment. I solo only when I need something, and even then, I group with friends to do it.

Good for you. No matter how good you are, though, that doesn't prevent the average WoW player from being an idiot.

...

World of Warcraft is dodgy. It gets boring pretty fast. Don't bother with your free trial. Put it on E-bay or give it to a friend or something...

Instead, like Marril said, go with the craptastic Korean (Although I beg to differ, they are better than the American ones likes WoW) ones like Ragnarok Online...

Or just be a WoW nerd until Ragnarok Online 2...

WoW just did not appeal to me...

But as for your question, unless you are stupid enough to go around in Ironforge or any other major city and say "MY PHONE NUMBER IS 12345678 AND I LIVE AT 938249 supercool address, thistownrules, NY, 12345"

Then there shouldnt be a problem...

If you're going to follow what Marril said, do like the first suggestion and play Final Fantasy XI.

Unlike WoW, it makes an active attempt to weed out idiots before they get to high levels, forces people to learn to play together as well as work in a group, and gives you a decent sense of accomplishment when you do something because the game isn't hand-holdingly easy.

Eh, I've never been one for FF. My opinion is that if a game franchise that isn't and old time classic that everyone knows about and has been around for a really long time (such as Mario or Legend of Zelda) gets more than 3-5 games, unless it's a sports franchise like Madden or happens to be based off of a tv show or character, then it's way surpassed it's lifespan and is therefore not to be trusted, as no matter how good it is, there's always the good chance it will collapse the moment something better comes along, whereas Mario will live on forever. Especially games with, from what I've heard, a somewhat crappy fighting system. No, give me a good old fashioned new franchise (or Mario, or Madden) any day.

player's fault
I disagree. If a game doesn't actively promote working together, then how do you expect any of the morons who don't expect to have to work together to know they should. If it's not about working together as well as against each other, it might as well be a Single Player RPG with a multiplayer option like Resistance: fall of Man.

player's fault

As EeveeLover929 said, if the game provides no incentive for players to work together effectively, what reason do they have to learn? It's like saying it's the player's fault that you don't learn to riffle-shuffle a deck of cards like a Vegas dealer through playing Monopoly (hey, there are two decks in Monopoly, so it's your fault if you don't learn!).

*sniffs* *sniff*
Smells like that someone is about to be VOTE:KICK out again for too much WOW supporting, eh? lol.

yeh, i strongly recommend you not to play WoW unless you want to risk your life because remember, i had a friend died from playing the game.

a Credit Card Number for a Free Trial?
This Sound like, oh if you try to get on after your trial ends they will charge you,
or they will auto charge you after your trial is over :/.

I suggest not doing it.
"Free " Trails do not need credit card numbers unless its some sort of plan to get your money.

I have seen this stuff before, and I am very careful with my number.
And I know what companies do, they are like O ITS FREE! and then auto charge you.
Like Runescape it's like $5 a month ok, but they Auto Charge you at the end of the month.

And of course like the very day I say this, they give an update that very much boosts twohanded weapons, basically making Dragoon the ultimate melee class, not to mention making Genkai 1 and 2 easier...

Man, that's some irony. I'd still love to see some WoW players handle even the regular NMs in Sky, let alone the gods. They'd probably wipe to Genbu.

wow is secure, trust me. i play it. i hope this is more helpful than the rest of the posts on this thread. 0.o
