Pokémon TCG reprint policy

Hey everyone,

The update to the reprint policy that recently went out was not quite what we were looking for. It was intended to say cards need to be _functionally_ identical. Old Switch, Max Potion, those will still be fine. Also cards that have received errata will also be ok (Potion, Pokémon Catcher, Rare Candy, etc.). This is really looking to catch cards were names have been reused for similar (or totally different!) effects (Super Rod, I'm looking at you). The rules doc is being updated and will be posted soon, if it hasn't been already. Sorry for the confusion!

Dylan, just to put a nail in it, anything that we currently have listed as "needs reference" would no longer be allowed?
For example, the old, original Team Rocket Rainbow Energy says that attaching it does 10 damage instead of placing 1 damage counter.
That is listed as needing a reference. That card would no longer be legal to use?

Or is this solely targeted at the Super Rod and Pokemon Center like cards that have had drastic changes to their play?

Anything in the "needs reference" category is gone (again, Errata cards exempt). No TR Rainbow Energy.

So is (or has) someone updated the list yet?

Since we are going into the State Championship weekend (with many deck checks) an updated Standard Legal Reprint list would be a useful thing to have!
