I finally finished my team. im registering for senoir division and this is my first video game tournament so please help.

VAPOREON naughty, item: rindo berry

ZAPDOS bold, item: wiki berry

GENGAR (japanese) gentle, item: destine knot

Well, I would scrap this whole team. If you're running Zapdos for doubles, Keep Discharge OR Thunder if you're using Kyoger as well as Protect, HP Ice and maybe Heatwave. Vaporeon should have HP Thunder, Blizzard, Protect and Surf. Replace Golduck with Rayquaza because it does its job better and give it Extream Speed/Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Dragon Claw/Outrage and Protect/ Draco Meteor. if you do, take thunder off zappy and keep roost. Palkia looks good but get a modest or timid one and replace Aqua Tail with Toxic or Protect. Avoid Torterra all together and use a Physical Pokemon. Make the Last Pokemon a wall or tank.

so is it 4 pokemon or 6? because i see a lot of ppl on serebii and other forums going with 6 pkmn teams for the vgc.

6 pokemon - and each battle you choose 4 of those 6 to battle.

This way you can slightly change your strategy if you wanted.

@timess. all those choice items will end up hurting you if you get a bad matchup and having 4 attack moves on every pokemon isn't to good, protect can be a decisive move to win you the game. and i know people are all over the swift swim ludicolo but i would highly suggest rain dish to keep absorbing surf. you could even do a modest kyogre with a choice scarf and spam surf to keep our hp up

hmm, it's not as much though. I will reconsider. Protect... I'm not the type of person to. I might take out Azelf with a Pys Sweeper. But it isn't for me, it's for my little brother. He's in the little division, but I'm in the other one.

Rain Dish absorbs Surf? I thought it absorbed the rain from rain dance. If not, I'll try it. Seeing that a STAB Surf with Rain would do so much damage. With Choice and a Modest nature too.

With all those Mewtwos, they would get OHKO by Weavile and others wouldn't you think? But I have no idea what everything is going to look like, besides seeing all Rain Dance.

Everything is done but i can't think of a wall or tank to replace torterra. And vaporeon can't learn thunder :I
 
That's why it's Hidden Power Electric. You can go for Blissey,Shuckle,Dusknoir and such. Eh, for me, I'm not the type to play walls, in doubles anyway.

Here is the thing about HP...lol unless you are a master RNG user, you really have no control over it
 
meh, I'll see how I'll do with Latios as my only Uber and without Soul Dew DX

Maybe, I should take out my Metagross, for a Revenge Rayquaza... :V

What should i try to outrun with my Swift swim Kingdra?

Scarf Cross/Chomp/Mence, Motor driven Vire? Or something different?

I'm talking metagame wise. Anyway, the list never stated Ubers or not, they just put a restricted list and a ban list. Oh, meaning that I could run somewhat else.

Garchomp,Gengar,Laitos,Rayquaza... What should I run...
 
Do you guys think i should use DV smeargle in my team? It did good last year (Mainly talking about san francisco's regionals).

But it can easily get knocked out by a pokemon holding lum berry. EX: Machamp with lum berry.
PS: Where do you get lum berry in HG/SS (Or JUST in HG)?
 
Smeargle wont be effective this year because pokemon TTar is allowed. Sandstorm damage will ko him while holding focus sash... plus with the uber and the populatiy of moves like surf/equake/eruption... moves that target both pokemon he is not a safe play at all, evern if he does know fakeout
 
What would be good to pair up with a Mewtwo? I am having a hard time deciding on a good companion to run with Mewtwo. Believe it or not, I was thinking a T-tar. Any other pokies good to pair up with Mewtwo?
