So I'm new here and have (after a large amount of blood, sweat and tears) completed every battle frontier thingymabob except for Tower.

My team that I use is Tyranitar (physical sweeper.
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide
-Crunch
-Screech

Dragonite (mixed sweeper)
-flamethrower
-thunderpunch
-fly
-outrage

Starmie(special sweeper/annoyer)
-surf
-psychic
-confuse ray
-recover

Any help appreciated :D

It has been a while since I battled in Emerald Battle Tower-

I do know that Absol was a real great Pokemon to use (I have my original Absol still, with the 100 win streak ribbon transfered onto my BW2 cart which I use as my "catcher" and lead Pokemon)- (It has like 49? ribbons on it)

I have changed the move set on the Absol, I will need to try to remember the original move set I had on Absol. I will post/add more soon, but really look into Absol for the Battle tower. I will say that Starmie was one of my special sweepers for the game, so your off to a good start there.

---------------edit--------------------

Ok, I recall using Metagross, Starmie, Absol, Salamance, and I think (think) Latios for the Emerald Battle tower. Wow, this sort of makes me feel old and not able to really recall - I think what I will do is go through my PC and check the Ribbon tags for the Pokies I used in the battle tower.

But, Absol and Starmie are deffinitly good Pokies to take on the Battle Tower.

Thanks Abunch! I know Absol has a high attack stat which would make it a great physical sweeper. But isn't it a bit frail defense and health wise (I always on the 30th battle just get critted on all the time)
And yes Starmies are wonderful and extremely resistant.

And in regards too still playing Emerald. In my opinion Emerald battle frontier is one of the best and I am honor bound to complete it.

Yes, Absol is a bit frail. But speed and attack stat wise with it being a pure dark type Pokemon: Make sure to build it with a good move pool that covers a wide range of threats that can hit for 2x weakness.
I do remember move set wise I tried to cover for
ghost, water, psychic, grass, ground, flying, dragon-

I think I had: Slash, Flamethrower, Ice beam, and Thunderbolt. I noticed that a pure dark type in the battle tower would make it pretty far on it's own being in the lead-out first as a scout, then Starmie would come in and finish off and then hit hard for the next one that would come in, them Metagross would finish the job.

Goood luck in your win streak!
