PTCGO running really slow, please help.

The program is running really slow on my mini-laptop, so much so that I am always timed out of games. The laptop has nothing else downloaded on it, so it's memory is full (aside from the game and standard programs such as google), I am also with a decent broadband provider so I am almost certain it is not the broadband.

So does anybody have an idea of why this is? Does the game run slowly on laptops?

I have not tried reinstalling the program yet, if anybody thinks this will help.
 
u need some serious RAM to run PTCGO.after a couple of minutes 1 GB isn't enough.that may be the reason.
 
My laptop is dual core and 4 GB Ram, only 3 years old and it has serious issues with running the game still. It lags in and out pretty much all the time. Games are smooth at first but get laggy after about 2 or 3.

I think they need to program in a better way to access your collection in viewing and trading. The game wrenches its hardest when Im pulling up the collection or trading selection windows- since I have a crap ton of cards.
 
Have you checked your computer's usage stats before, during, and after you attempt to use it? I'd like to know what the bottleneck is.

BTW, is this an XP, Vista, or 7 machine?
 
Your operating system is over a decade old. Not surprisingly, your system is probably as old, if not older, than that. (At the very least it's not gonna be within the past 4)

Does your system fit the recommended specs for the game?

What kind of processor do you have, and with how many cores? How much RAM is installed? Is it 32 or 64 bit? If you don't know how to find that info, let us know.
 
It seems to have fixed itself now, i may have just been logging in at peak times. Thanks for all the help though :)
