Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

R-2 :Fight of all time : Most powerfull Anime char. who will win.

Here's where comparing series gets tricky. Each universe has it's own way of doing things and things are usually only defined within that universe alone. For example, sources of power. Ki is used in a lot of series since its familiar and everyone knows the basic concept. However, in Hunter x Hunter, the source of power is Nen. In Bleach, it is Reiatsu. In Naruto (and other ninja series), it is Chakra. In Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, it is Spiral Energy. In Shana, it is Power of Existence. In some, it is magic from various sources, etc. etc. All these things are usually only defined within the universe they are usedand those who use the same thing may not define it in the same way. Therefore, we can only theorize how these things would interact with one another by making out best guesstimates at redefining things when needed so that they work in a situation where they all co-exist.

Also, if Ash is the only Pokemon representative, then when Ash asks any Pokemon to help him represent Pokemon, they'd say yes. That'd get him Mewtwo, Lugia, the birds, the dogs, Celebi, the Regis, Lucario, etc...
Legendary Pokemon in the anime are BEAST, especially Mewtwo.

Ash uses Rotom against Daimon. Daimon can't attack Rotom, because Rotom is a ghost. Rotom sends a Thunderbolt into the Digi-World Cyber Space thing. It short circuits. This leaves Rotom to whatever it pleases to Daimon. Confuse Ray, Thunder Bolt, Ominous Wind...

No, just no.

You know, I expected people to be irrationally championing their series of choice (mostly Naruto) but I did not forsee this extending to Satoshi.

We're not writing fanfiction here, we're just discussing where anime characters measure up with one another. Actually, that's not right. That's where we hi-jacked this thread to. Originally, this was just a popularity contest.

Satoshi is stuck with his current selection of Pokemon. In my opinion, since he ditched almost all of them, he should be considered to only using what he has aquired DP on plus Aipom and Pikachu.

Also, since this is a anime character battle, then it should only extend to wherever an anime currently is in Japan and not too far beyond (to compensate for the fact that they air weekly). This isn't "most powerful manga character" afterall.

Mewtwo could blow up the world. Groudon, too. So can Arseus.
Mewtwo is not powerful enough to destroy the earth.
Groudon could only dry up the oceans (not even completely I don't think). The earth would still be intact
Arceus, I'm not sure about. As far as I know, Arceus only has the power to create.

Regardless, none of the above are on the list.

Well, Ash should at least get to use the Pokemon that are with Professor Oak/Charasific Valley/Fire Department/etc. After all, he's always been allowed to change his Pokemon before a battle.

Yah, it's become a cesspool of fanboyism. There's the pokemon freak who only plays the games and somehow thinks mewtwo is invincible (he couldn't touch giovanni). There is the DBZ nut who never watched anything other than that. And of course, there's the segment of narutards that didn't watch DBZ and don't realize that half the characters from dragonball can basically sense everything around him without seeing it at a moment's notice. Then, there's me, the haruhism cultist (I'm guessing 90 percent of the people in this topic haven't even heard of that show). I still wonder how anyone can even see nor hit Ichigo since he's not technically in this world when he goes shimigami.

That's why I stated specifically that that was just what I thought. Unless everyone else for whatever reason agreeded with me, I'd say it's safe to consider him to be able to use any six (but only six) Pokemon that he still has.

He's still bottom tier however.

FYI, I do realize that Goku is tough, and I did watch DBZ. I haven't seen it in a long time, hence why I had forgotten how totally pwnsome Goku really is. However, I still think Itachi would have a fighting chance if he could at least make eye contact, hence why I don't think Goku is the indestcurtible god of the list.

And Rox, Satoshi sucks, get over it. Tell you what, if you can think of five good reasons that he shouldn't be in the "nigh useless" category, we'll consider bumping him up to Relatively Normal, and it doesn't count if we can counter those reasons. And you only get one shot, so you don't keep whining about it. And if you can't think of enough reasons, then you have to drop the matter completely, and can't brin it up again. Deal?

How do you make eye contact with someone who can blow up a planet on a whim and can travel faster than the eye can see? Dragonball Z characters are up to Mary Sue levels of being overpowered, here.

for once marril, i agree

Too bad satoshi is the end all be all of anime idiots. That pretty much makes him fail at every single one of those reasons.

1. Pikachu
2. Charizard
3. Donphan
4. Sceptile
5. Snorlax
6. Glalie

There. That's six. Happy?

First of all, you're about a season behind. Second of all, you're right, the pokemon aren't useless, but Satoshi himself is. See, while the pokemon are out there on the front line getting their butts kicked, Satoshi sits comfortably and gives the pokemon really stupid tactical advice that if they were smart, they would ignore. Hence, Satoshi is nigh useless. No, scratch that, he's just plain useless.

OK, if the Pokemon do the work, then the Pokemon aren't in the nigh useless and the Pokemon without Ash go into a higher catagory.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Actually, even though it's not anime, the winner is Mr. Rogers.
