Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Regional Championships 2008, Parsippany NJ 4/12/2008

I am not talking about Magmortar Typhlosion Delcatty which would obviously stumble due to Dusknoir but I don't want to spam this thread with an argument so lets agree to disagree. I guess I shouldn't even talk since I'm not inn your division but IMO Magmortar/claydol can beat G&G.

Yeh, well it can in swiss, but not in top cut. When you have 4 Claydol out your gonna take about 5 min turns, so if you can get up you can win.

seems to me like if G&G will be played so much, then using Banette would be the surefire choice.

Eh, it isnt as much as you think. Banette does usually beat GG, but there is so many other decks that are played that beat Banette including the 2nd best deck (Magmortar), which means Banette can and usually does have problems.

I encourage everyone to play Banette.

Why would anyone listen to that advice? I guess you could be using "Reverse Psychology" so that no one will play Banette, but I disagree. I think Banette is not the play for Regionals. I dont know what is, but it is most likely not Magmortar or Banette. :thumb:
