This year the Team Championship will be held during the 2012 Western Canadian Pokemon Regionals Championships in Surrey BC, Canada.
Teams are made up of no fewer than 3 players and no more than 6. All must be in the same age group. The team chamionship will be held durring the swiss rounds of the Regional Championship. Scoring will be based on how each player placed in the final stadings when swiss parings are over. If a player on a team drops before the event is complete then that player will not count as being on the team. The top 3 finishers on each team will be used to determine that teams overall score. So if the top 3 on a team finished in 4th, 15th and 20th place that team will have a score of 4+12+20=36 points. The team with the lowest score in each age group will be the winners. Ties will be broken based on which Team Captain had the better finish in the Swiss standings.
Team Registration forms will be available during the registratoin time the Regional Championships (There will be sign telling you where to go to get a form) You will need to select a family friendly team name, and list the team Captain and team memebers. All registration forms are due before the first round of swiss starts. IF you have not turned in your team registration form before that time then your team will not be particpating in the Team Chamionship.
Winning team members will each recieve a Team Chamionship Certiificate, and Team members are encouraged to sign eachothers certificates.
