So thinking about rebuilding one of my previous decks for one last run for HGSS format. Scizor Prime, whaddya say we give it one last go old friend?
Scizor Prime 3-3
Skarmory UD - 4
Klinklang BW 3-1-2
Dodrio UD 2-2
--- 20 Pokemon
Metal Energy - 6
Spec Metal - 4
--- 10 Energy
Dual Ball - 4
Poke Comm - 2
Ultra Ball - 2
Junk Arm - 3
Catcher - 2
Max Potion - 3
Switch - 2
Rare Candy - 2
PONT - 3
PETM - 2
N - 2
Super Rod - 1
Defender - 2
--- 30 Trainer / Supporter
Kick butt or die trying; that's probably what's gonna happen. Believe it or not this deck worked very well before the format got all Pro-Basic on us.
Anyway, start with Skarmory, Steel Coat your bench, set up Scizor asap (preferrably 2), Shift Gear between Pokemon with Klinklang, Max Potion if necessary, Bulk up (no pun intended) with Spec Metal Energy, Power up Scizor's Metal Scissors and cut away. Yeah... it seems like a lot but you'd be surprised. Scizor's "Red Armor" Poke Power prevents damage from Pokemon with Spec Energy attached. Shift Gear works in conjunction with Retreat Aid Dodrio in terms of Energy conservation and makes Max Potion easier to use and further tanking potential along with Defender.
Of course Scizor would STILL be smelted steel when Fire comes along.
The Era of Primes will soon come to an end. That is what, I think, makes this deck so noble.
Sentimental? Yes.
Overreactive? Perhaps.
Comments? Please.
