SE WI FR/LG Prerelease NOW 8/28!

What about the getting out of Milwaukee part. Is traffic usually bad late day saturday? I assume i'd be going through there between 3-6--don't know exactly how long the prereleases last.

Traffic shouldn't be bad at all. It doesn't take long to get out of milwaukee, and once you're past that you just cruise on up back home. If you need directions, go to www.mapquest.com . 45 usually has less traffic than 43. you take 41 till 45, than at the zoo interchange just look for the bluemound exit.
 
Thanks--now I just have to try and convince my parent into letting me go. There so worried about me, driving all the way to Milwaukee by myself. Eventhough that's only about 2 hours and I'll be 2.5 hours away when I move to college on Monday. Parents--what can I say :p

How many for 10- usually come to prereleases for either of the two locations and is the winner always given a box--regardless of the number of participants? I've noticed most prereleases get 3 or fewer players for 10-. I have 3 nephews and a neise ages 5-8, I may have to train them and get them to go to a prerelease some time.

From the looks of it, all of the Eastern Wisconsin tournies should have a good showing.

I do hope you can make it. Currently, we have only a few (1-3) players in the 10- division who regularly attend tournaments. Anyone you bring from that age group is basically guaranteed some level of prizes!
 
I'll just have to keep pesturing my dad and may have to offer him gas money.

I just asked him about it again--here's some things he said...
'You're going to Manitowac isn't that enough'
'How are they different'

Sounds like traffic shouldnt be a problem and I can pay for gas--so I SHOULD be able to talk him into letting me go.
 
As long as I have most of my stuff picked up and packed for college by saturday--my dad will drive me down and play disc golf or something while I'm there. So I should be going to both prereleases now! How long do they usually go to? I would like an approximate time of when the tourney ends, and when most people leave (like from trading or w/e afterwards). So my dad has an idea of when to pick me up.

So I should be going and wont even have to pay for gas. Woohoo! Now I just gotta win the tourney to show my dad that it was well worth the trip. My goal is top 4, we'll see what happens. I'm sure there will be plenty of good compeition to contend with. I'll be sure to bring my A game (and hopefully luck for getting good pulls from the packs!).
 
Don't forget the modified side event. its gonna be a blast...and very competitive from what i can tell. glad you can come
 
Is it still from expedition on or will it be EXon

Yes it is Expedition on. There hasn't been any official word as to when it will be cut to R/S on. This is the last time I'll be able to play Pokemon for awhile so I'm going to have a blast.

Its the same for me, so I'm gona rock up this weekend!

Yes, Modified is Expedition onward still. I'm guessing October/November for the EXon transition.

Bring your 10- relatives! They'd have a blast, and it would probably strengthen the 10- division here in Brookfield.

I'm SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS WEEKEND! ;)

If I bring them to any it will be the Manitowac one. I highly doubt theyu'll be able to go though. Brookfiled would be too long of a drive for them.

If anyone here knows how many 10- have been at the last couple prereleases at Manitowac or how many are 'expected' about at this sunday's one--please reply here or PM me. I need to ahve some idea within an hour.

Manitowoc... well, I'm guessing between 3 and 8 or so at the past ones I've attended. I don't remember for sure.
 
I might be coming, I'm not sure if the 3 hour thing will work out for Sunday's pre, but I might be there. It also depends on if Will can give me a ride from Gurnee Mills...
