Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Sneasel, Interrupted

Not really. They took almsot everything that made Neo Genesis Sneasel so potent, and removed or toned it down. Most obvious, KOing it nets two prizes. Second, Fighting Weakness. Even in a Nintendo only format, there are splashable basics and evos for fighting. It still keeps its Psychic Resitance, which is good. Its has a retreat of one now: better than most, but sill worse than it had. HP is better. First attack is much worse. Second attack, Beat-up, is now minimum turn 3.

Yea, it is more like a wiggly like ever b4

Sneasel ex is not going to have anywhere near the impact on the game as Neo1 Sneasel did. @_@ Double prizes isn't good, for one. ;)

I just so happened to write an article on Sneasel ex just this month, so rather than have me repeat everything I said in the article, HERE is the article.

And as for the Wiggly vs. Sneasel "debate" that spun off of this topic, although Wiggly used to be one of my favorites, it is true, Neo1 Sneasel easily is better than Wiggly. Basic, averaging 60 damage, for 2 Energy. Wiggly truly only has its HP, and the fact you don't have to search for 2 of 8 Darkness/Rainbows in your deck.

Oh, its a bit more than that Baboonski... have you fully accounted for the changes in the environment? They make Wigglytuff's only speed concern evolving, as it can make full use of Recycle Energy, Double Colorless energy, and Boost Energy. A completely powerless 'tuff is almost always a mild threat:with all the energy recycling tricks, even if all the boosts are in the discard, they may no stay there for long. Then there is that lack of flips. Now, Neo Genesis Sneasel is still superior, but mainly due to a lack of Weakness, Free-Retreat, and lack of a Stadium that reduce's Dark damage.

Here's the link for my article on Sneasel ex: http://www.pokeschool.com/tcg/articles/articles/sneaselex081603.asp
Sadly, my formatting didn't remain when it was put up... and since i buggered it up for some reason, I ahve to just list the full link.:p

Yea, thats the whole thing tho, Wiggly can make use of these nasty energies, and it doesnt get slowed down, can you imagine, 3 wigglies, against 3 sneasels? you would need to get like, 6 dark/rainbow energies out of a possible 8, and you wouldnt get much off the bonus from dark, whereas the Wigglies, would all do the same damage, provided you keep your bench full, for ANY energy you can manage! Wiggly is insane, in numbers, Heavy removals and overall power. The new sneasel is managable, although you might want to use it in a Scoop up Deck, it is very easy to use, and Wiggly always has Jiggly to fall back on, the good ole days of Lullabuy, and pound. You can easily use a Broken ground gym to slow down the Basic Pokemon Sneasel, and by the time sneasel destroyed one of the wigglies, the other one would come up for the finishing blow, there goes those dark energies, there goes your chance of winning :) Totally INSANE!

Oh and i almost forgot! The Neo1 Sneasel only has 60-HP! One hit wonder!
