Hey, we had a GREAT Time today at the event....great set full of surprises, and a lot of deck potential IMHO. Personally, i am looking to make a Scizor deck with the double rainbow energy that was releases - I will flip 2 coins to only reduce my damage by 10!!! Great Tradeoff!
We had 48 players - a bit fewer than hoped, but it turned out to be the perfect number.....
Winners of each age division were:
10- MASON H. - Let's face it, this is 2 out of 3 pre-Releases for this player, the boy can FLAT DRAFT!!! (5-0)
11-14 - BEN D. - Great up and coming player - had to fend off fierce competition at the end, single handedly took care of a few undefeated players after losing early. (4-1)
15+ - TONY R. - Perfect day, fabulous player, INCHES away from winning the Collinsville CC - 5-0, what can he say???
Then we had the afterdraft after some GREAT trading on the floor!!!
18 players in that event - and the winner was......NEWMAN (4-0), only undefeated player left standing!
I need to pop a special thanks to Ray, Aaron, and the entire group from SEDALIA, MO!!!! They brought a group and really had a blast - look forward to seeing them at their City Champ in a few weeks - March 20. Super Props to all the Sedalia 10- who came and played at their first event! WOW!
Props to Chris who came down from Chicago - and took 4th in his first major event at 10-! Great Job.
Props to Uncle Bob for coming down, playing, and reaping the benefits!!! Great to meet you, and my offer for States still stands!
Mega Props - to Melissa T., Chaddy, Scotty, Aaron from Sedalia, and Neil H. for judging, helping and making this event run silky smooth and ON TIME! You guys are the best, and every TO should be this lucky! You were all worth WELL MORE than the packs you were given!!!
I hope Memphis next week goes as well - as they say I AM SURE IT WILL - Thanks!!!
Oh, how could I forget, MEGA PROPS to Ditto (was not there, did not play, did not judge) for making the Meganium45 promo for me (for entertainment use only) With attacks of Chaw, and Power of Chaw, the creature really resembles me!!!!
