Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Standard and Expanded Format Legal Card List Discussion

I think that was my scan, not your fault.
I'll see if I can rescan it off the glass instead of using the doc feeder.

Spookees: I got it, but not sure what you want me to do with it.
If anyone wants a copy in that format, they can copy and paste it into Word themselves very easily.

I thought Moo Moo Milk was reprinted so would that not make Neo Genesis be legal now I was checking and noticed it was not listed under Neo Genesis is this the same as with Sneasel from Neo Genesis

I have a question about using older cards which have received reprints, lets say from the Base Set. I've been acquiring a few reprinted old cards, and I noticed that the back of the base set cards seem to be a different tint than the newer sets, the blue color is much darker. I looked it up on a different website, and they say this is normal.

I have yet to play competitively so I'm not exactly sure how it'll work, but my concern is that using older cards such as these with a darker background on the back can give away or at least give a strong hint as to which cards you're about to draw or which cards are prize cards etc?

Most players use protective sleeves for their cards to both protect the cards and remove this issue.

ah, okay. Thanks for the response. That makes a lot of sense.

As far as tourneys go though, have there ever been any sort of rules making it mandatory to do so if you use mismatching cards?

There are rules against using marked cards.
Generally, if the cards are mixed and there is no pattern, you might be fine with backs that have color variations.
If it creates a marked situation where certain cards can be picked out of the deck, that would be a problem.
Sleeves are cheap.
Invest $5.

Hey Pop! So what will the next modified format be? Rising Rivals though Black and White? I'm thinking of making a new deck and don't want to pick cards that will be out of date in 6 months.

thanks!

They don't tell me until they tell you.

And, if for some reason they did, I certainly couldn't say before they announced it.
