I really wanted to see This question answered, but you asked for a reason instead.

I came up with a valid reason (Far out, but valid...)

You have Gyarados MT active with one energy attached to it, a Cressilia Lv.X on the bench, and a Gardevior Lv.X on the bench. Your opponent has Ayrodactyle MD on his/her bench and an active Aron HP (The one with only 40 HP.)

No pokemon on the field have any damage, and in order to get damage on the field to move to Gyarados with Cressilia's poke-power you would need to first use Gardevior Lv.X's teleport, but you can't/don't want to switch it for your active Gyarados.

Now, I ask the question again, could you use Teleportation to teleport a benched Gardevior Lv.X with another one of your benched pokemon???

P.S. Sorry for dragging out such a question, but it needs to be answered!!!

    Bulbasnore answered the question.
The bench is one area. You can rearrange Pokemon at will on your bench.
This would fall under "no game effect" and you can't do it.
